Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2012
Easy, delicious. We added herbs and garlic for kicks.

Parmesan Puffs

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2012
These were bland and greasy. My recommendation is to add onions/onion powder, garlic powder, maybe a dash of Italian seasoning. I found baking them in mini muffin tins to be a good size.

Thai Peanut Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2011
Mayo? Really? I subbed the Mayo with milk, because I was out of coconut milk. I upped the peanut butter and milk and mixed the sauce with vegetables for Thai lettuce wraps. Very good and easy.

Classic Tuna Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2010
I've always made my sauce from scratch, but this seems simpler. However, I do add roasted sweet red peppers, onions, maybe celery if I have it (all cooked in skillet first) and cubed Colby Jack cheese. (Or shredded, but cubes are fast.) I've been making this with plain soy milk and it has always been delicious. Never a complaint from my milk-loving husband.

Easy Peach Sorbet

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
You can also make this with peaches, minus the nutmeg. I know how easy this is, but it is yummy! Give it a try... a low calorie dessert that will satisfy your sweet tooth. Even my husband loves it.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2009
We loved this, but we made a few changes based on what we had on hand. We used cooking wine instead of beer and topped each sandwich with sauteed peppers and Swiss cheese. Delicious!

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
My sister made this for my baby shower and it was the first soup to disappear! I loved it! When I made it later at home for my husband, I did make a few changes based on what we had on hand: I used homemade salsa with nice huge chunks and shredded chicken. I added more chicken broth and some black beans (have used pinto, too) that were not from a can, since I knew my husband would need more in his soup. We've also added diced chilies and roasted sweet red bell pepper with great results. Very good soup as is, and versatile enough to be great with any changes you make.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2009
I really liked these! My vegan parents did too with the omission of the egg. Even my carnivorous husband enjoyed them.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
I made this recipe for my bridal shower and served it, minus the cheese, on pita chips. It was an easy, no fuss addition to my "tea party" and the girls loved it! I'm making it for a Christmas party tomorrow, again minus the cheese, and I know it will be a hit. (I can't eat cheese, and not having cheese doesn't ruin the beauty of this recipe at all.)

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2008
I followed the recipe exactly, with the addition of milk chocolate toffe bits mixed in with the mini cc I used, and it is delicious! One word of caution: I could only fit 3 cookies on my small cookie sheet at a time, and while they cooked, I stuck the rest of the cookie dough in the fridge without covering it. COVER IT! You don't want it to dry out. Thanks for the recipe.

Campfire Banana Splits

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
The young adults in my church used to make these at bonfires, with a few changes: we spread in peanut butter, sprinkle with chocolate chips and coconut flakes, then drizzle with sweetened condensed milk. Seal the foil and set near the fire in coals for about 5 minutes until the bananas have softened. This is super gooey, and very sweet (at least to me) but they are a great treat once in a while.

Naan

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2008
This was great. I made a few changes: instead of adding chopped garlic I added a scant tablespoon (or less?) of garlic powder to the flour before mixing. I also used soy milk instead of milk. I made the dough in my bread machine, then made the balls and let them raise again. I pan fried them, since I don't have a grill. I had some dough that I didn't have time to cook, so I layerd it with parchment paper and froze it in a container. I made them last night and they were just as good as the first batch I made. Thanks for this recipe! (I served the Naan with chicken, peppers and onions sauteed with a little garlic and olive oil, it wasn't Indian, but it was good!)

Pat's Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2008
My mom has been making a recipe similar to this since I was a child. I suggest cooking a green pepper (diced) with the onion and then adding in cut pineapple. This is best in a Crockpot! One of my favorite summer or anytime dishes!
