Cuban Ropa Vieja

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2014
Did not come out at all like I expected. I won't make this again. It just wasn't our flavor palette.

Honey Barbecue Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2014
This needed the extra ketchup. It is very sweet. It needs liquid smoke flavoring, too. The brown sugar was crunchy, so I simmered this a bit. Otherwise, this was the flavor I needed.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2014
This is very versatile. I used a half bottle of prepared dressing instead of dry mix. I used a family size can of soup, and I used a quarter cup of cream cheese. I also added a cube of vegetable bullion. It came out thick and rich. We also tried this with steak, and it was wonderful.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2014
This is very versatile. I used a half bottle of prepared dressing, not dry. I used a family size can of soup, and I used a quarter cup of cream cheese. I also added a cube of vegetable bouillon. It came out pretty rich and thick, but that was how I liked it. This tasted great with steak instead of chicken, as well.

Dad's Hamburger Gravy

Reviewed: May 24, 2014
I used a pound of meat, and it was still too much hamburger for us. Next time, I will only use a half pound. I also only used three cups of milk total. It was very bland. I added a lot of other spices to make this edible. The process works, though it's no substitute for browned flour gravy.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: May 11, 2014
These came out so soft and tasty. Changes I made were using salted butter, adding 1/2 cup of peanut butter, and some vanilla extract. I baked on 350° for 9 minutes and chilled my dough between batches.

Ruby Drive Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2014
I made these for some friends. They said they were the best they'd ever had, and asked for the recipe. I used balsamic vinegar and peach salsa, and omitted the hot sauce. I served this with deviled eggs. It is imperative that you simmer this until it gets thick. This allows for the flavors to blend properly, as well as attain the appropriate texture.
