Oven Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
The best roast recipe I've ever tried and will be my new "go to" recipe... no need to look any further! I made minor changes. I used one can of golden mushroom soup, one can of beef consomme and 1/2 pkg onion soup mix and omitted the wine. I added potatoes, carrots and onions the last hour. The gravy was amazing and saved so much work because it was right in the pan. You must try this one!

Goldenrod Eggs

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2011
I was skeptical but pleasantly surprised. Added a good splash of hot sauce and a dash of Worcestershire and loved it. I did just mix the mashed yolks in like another reviewer suggested. I hope my daughter feels the same way when I make it again.

Hot Spiced Cranberry Cider

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
Awesome! I skipped the lemon and used 2 qts of cranberry juice cocktail. Also left out the brown sugar as the cider/juice is plenty sweet. I could drink this every day!

Grandma's Eggless, Butterless, Milkless Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
Excellent recipe! I took advice from other comments and added about 1/2 tsp salt and used slightly heaping spoons of cocoa. baking powder/soda. I had vanilla sugar I used too. It makes an amazingly moist rich cake eaten right from the pan!

Strawberry Bread

Reviewed: May 11, 2009
Very yummy bread! I used a small tub of drained frozen strawberries that I pureed for more flavor. Since the frozen berries added moisture I used 3-1/4 cup of flour. And I cut the sugar down to 1 cup since the frozen berries were sweetened. And used 1/2 T cinnamon. It is very tasty and moist. Will be taking some to work.

Quick and Easy Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2009
Made these with 1 cup flour, 1-1/2 cups sugar and just over 1/2 cup coconut oil as I had no butter/marg/applesauce... cooked for 25 min in 9x13 pan. They are very good.

Michelle's Coconut Chicken Curry

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2009
I made this with the suggestions listed by EMT Sept 2007... only difference was I used 2 cans of chicken breast instead of fresh chicken and 1/2-1 tsp red pepper flakes in place of the cayenne EMT used. It was amazing!!!

Salmon Broccoli Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
I modified this a bit and it was really good! I used 2- 7oz cans of salmon, sour cream instead of mayo, white rice and added a healthy dose of hot sauce. My daughter asked me to make it again soon.

Royal Icing I

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2006
Great recipe! I used powdered egg whites which worked well. I had to add some powdered sugar to thicken it for piping and finishing my gingerbread house but used it "as is" to spread on sugar cookies which my kids added sprinkles to. Will def use this again!

Shrimp Etoufee III

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2006
Excellent eating, and really quite easy to prepare. I doubled the red pepper flakes and added some cajun seasoning I had on hand and it was terrific. My bf said it could have been hotter, but he likes things VERY hot... I thought the heat was perfect!
