Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2014
I made this tonight. Yummy. I did dip the tops in turbinado sugar before baking. I am not a chocolate chip cookie lover, but I thought these were very good. My grown son gave them thumbs up.

Biscotti

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2012
Made this for a bunko group. It was a hit. I wasnt sure if everyone would like anise, so used vanilla and added cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and coriander as another reviewer suggested, also used a very good olive oil and whole wheat pastry flour. Was very good and easy to make. I am excited to try it with the anise flavor!!

Chicken Manicotti Alfredo

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
I made this dish for Christmas dinner along with other Italian dishes. I had never made Alfredo sauce before, and was a little nervous about making it. This was a simple recipe to make, I was surprised how easy the sauce was to make. I stuffed the shells the night before, made the sauce Christmas morning, and baked as directed. I not a big fan of Alfredo, but my kids are, and they loved it. Only changes I made was to add garlic to the butter (at my son's request) when I prepared the sauce, and I used dried herbs instead of fresh. The manicotti were not dry, and very flavorful. I don't think I will ever buy the jar stuff again.

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2010
These were wonderful! I had never made Biscotti before, but will be making it again. I did not have any pistachio so I used almonds, and used fried cherries instead of cranberries. They didn't last long. I am going to try them with a lot of different nut and fruit combinations. These were not dry and hard like the store bought kind. Thank you for the excellent receipe.

Taco Dip I

Good, everyone enjoyed, but I thought the Taco seasoning was a little strong. Next time I made it, I didn't use a whole package.

Easy Potato Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
This was very good. I did follow the other reviews some, in that I used chicken broth instead of water. I also added celery, I could not imagine potato soup without it! I also added 2 cloves of garlic, and used olive oil instead of margarine. I think the soup would be good without any changes, but is very easy to customize to individual tastes.

Kolaches From the Bread Machine

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
This was very good. Only problem I had was the dough raised so well, it went over the sides of the pan. I have a 2lb machine, so I thought it should have been large enough. I took these to work, and my boss thought they were almost as good as the ones his Grandmother used to make. I made my own filling, cream cheese with Posypka on top. Yummy!

Ultimate Spicy Spud Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
I made this for Christmas Eve. I did make a few changes after reading the other reviews. I omited the salt (italian sausage is very salty), I used a carton of chicken broth instead of water and only 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. I also didnt see any reason to use the butter. We all thought it was very good. I will make again.

Pumpkin Cookie Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2005
I made this for a caard party I was attending, it was a huge success. I did only use about a ½ can of pumpkin. (I had tried a similar dip at a party and found it to pumpkiny)I kept tasting it as I folded in the pumpkin, and stoped when I thought it was just right. I servered it with molassas cookies, everyone wanted the recipe. Will make often this fall. It was also good with apple slices!!

Chocolate Mint Mayonnaise Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2004
My husband asked for a mayonaise cake for his birthday. I found this one. The mint intriqued me. The cake was excellent, but I had a little trouble with the frosting. I beat it and beat it, it never really got thick enough to spread on the cake. It was more like a glaze. What I put on the sides of the cake, mostly ran off. But the frosting tasted good. I will make this again, but may try a different frosting. Love the thin mints between the layers.
