About this Cook
My husband and I love to cook and entertain. We go to glamis in winter- lake mojave in summer. Shallots and garlic, bbq sauce and beer. From artichokes to zuchini this website helps me cook well and gives SUCH good planned dinner options it's ridiculous. ENJOY!
My favorite things to cook
Roasts, artichokes, pots of beans, my beef or pork ribs, etc. Fruit salsas, Craigs fish, salsa, veggie and shrimp tempura, omg, list goes on...
My favorite family cooking traditions
Shallots. We use lots of shallots and butter. Also like roasts browned or rubbed in lots of seasonings. I can finally make potatoe salad, think I'll post my recipe.
My cooking triumphs
Mastering the artichoke, potatoe salad, etc. My husband makes a wonderful halibut with shallot, olive olil, soy sauce mixture. BBQ while brushing with the shallot, garlic butter mixture. OMG >>> FO! LMTY.
My cooking tragedies
My first potato salad wouldn't even blend, in a blender... Also, my husband miserably failed at chicken "cocka" mole one time. No more mole. I cannot bbq, but my husband is the master, I just do the dirty prep - and clean.

Chicken Milano
Very, very delicious made just the way described. I was cooking the sauce and my boyfriend was sniffing the air, and very curious about what I was doing. Then, I started steaming broccli and that drove him right out of the kitchen. LOL! What I am trying to say is it tastes and smells wonderful, and it is very filling. I'm going to try zuchini noodles with it next time.

Hazel's Meatballs
These were just okay. You can really smell and taste the vinegar. I tried this because I have a ketchup & mustard lover in the house. I liked them smothered with gravy and potatoes. Easy recipe though so I'll give it 3.

Sweet Mustard Chicken Bake
OMG... I really liked this recipe. I used coarse ground dijon mustard. I also cut down on the butter. Be sure to baste it as the recipe calls for. I will make extra sauce next time so that I can drizzle it on rice and serve along with the chicken. This one will be in my regular rotation. So quick and easy and you can eyeball the ingredients. THANK YOU!
