About this Cook
I'm a mom-to-be (due March 15, 2007!), married cook. Thankfully, although my husband doesn't like to cook, he loves to eat what I cook! I started cooking in about 2nd grade (a natural, I'm told). After living in South Carolina, North Carolina, Hungary, Korea, and Washington, DC, I decided to get out of the Army (after 7+ years!). We'll see where life takes us next!
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE to bake. I love making muffins, scones, cheesecakes, cookies... anything to make people smile and ENJOY. Beyond that, I focus on healthy cooking and eating. Mainly chicken, pork, and vegetarian dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My dad's side of the family is Hungarian and Ukranian. Many of our favorites came from my grandmother's cooking (Hungarian), specifically klochkis and Chicken Paprikash.
My cooking triumphs
My friends and family all rave about my cheesecakes. Mocha, pumpkin, plain, they love it! They claim that it's better than the Cheesecake Factory.... since I can't eat it (lactose intolerant), I'll take their word for it!
My cooking tragedies
Tragedies happen every once in a while.... I will admit that once every so often, I try to do too much and fall asleep while something's in the oven! I've done this for creme brulee and cheesecake! Quel dommage!

Thai Chicken Cabbage Soup
Great! This is the first recipe I've taken the time to review, just because it was sooo easy and good. My husband only gave it 3 1/2 stars, but I'd give it 4. Very easy- this recipe makes A LOT, and it is good for leftovers! Thanks for this one.
