My favorite things to cook
Indian curries and grains! also,im new to vegan cooking and its a challenge that i love. I also appreciate raw foods. Presentaion is also fun.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother taught me to love food. She comes from a Polish/ Russian family so I grew up making patiza, potato pirogues, borsht and a lot of traditional foods. cooking was always a lot of fun growing up!

Thats hard... I would have to say its when i dont follow any directions and let my conscious be the recipe
My cooking tragedies
i tried making an Asian dish and added some peanut butter on a whim. it tasted really wierd. not outright bad but so odd tasting that i just couldnt get it down.

Lite Carrot Cake
this recipe is a great base for something better. I added about 3/4 cup more cake flour 1/2 an 8 oz can of crush pineapple w/ juice, 1/2 c walnuts, 1/2 cup dehydrated pineapple flakes. allspice, nutmeg, ginger, more cinnomon and salt. this was AWESOME!

perfect recipe. i used a pumpkin beer and it added a really interesting flavor.

Blue Cornmeal Pancakes
I used yellow cornmeal and whole wheat flour and they came out great! they had a corn bread like taste, which is why i wanted to make this recipe. I wasnt sure about pine nuts for breakfast but i used them in some and it was good. they taste great with peanut butter on top.
