Tortellini Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
Very good! This soup has a nice little kick to it, which my husband and I both enjoyed. I followed the recipe, exactly, and it turned out great!

Tater Tot Taco Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
This dish is so easy to make, and it tastes great! Like many others, I couldn't find the mini tater tots, so I used to crowns instead. I tossed them, to coat, in olive oil, and baked them according to the package directions, until they were nice and crispy. Also, based on previous reviews, I browned my ground beef (I used a pound for leftovers) and one packet of taco seasoning. I served the meat over the tater tots with lettuce, black olives, fresh tomato, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and Johnny's Jamaica Me Sweet, Hot, and Crazy sauce. It was a hit with the hubs and with me!

Housewife's Asiago Parmesan Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
This was alright. I followed the recipe exactly (including the garlic), and it turned out kind of like a grown up's version of macaroni and cheese, but blander. I think that omitting the garlic would cause the dish to lose most of its flavor. Also, I did experience a problem while making this dish. I added the butter and the cheese to the hot noodles, and stirred 'til the cheese was melted; however, all the melted cheese clumped up, and it was hard to distribute it throughout the rest of the pasta.

Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
This casserole was quite good. Based on others' reviews, I did make a couple of changes. First, I browned the ground beef, and added a whole packet of taco seasoning (+ 2/3 cup water, just as I would if I were making tacos). Second, I did put a thin layer of the meat mixture in the bottom of my pan, as recommended. Besides that, I followed the recipe to a T. Very good!

Lemon Chicken Piccata

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
Oh my goodness--this dish is stellar! I made it tonight, following the recipe almost exactly (I added an extra clove of garlic). My husband and I both gobbled it right up. I wish there were leftovers! Next time, I'll remember to double this recipe. Thank you!

Pistachio Cake III

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
Just pulled my cake out of the oven, and it looks (and smells) great! After I had finished mixing up the batter, I realized I had no idea where my bundt pan was. So, I sprayed a 9x13 and dumped the batter in there. I baked it at 350 for 50 minutes, and it looks great, if not a tad too brown. I think I could've gone a few minutes less--maybe 45 instead--and it would've been fine. I am going to make the pistachio pudding/cool whip frosting. Quick and easy. Great recipe!

Buffalo Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
Really good--both my husband and I liked this soup, which says a lot! :) I followed the recipe almost exactly. The only change I made was adding more buffalo sauce--about 3/4 cup total, since both my husband and I enjoy spicy foods. I didn't season the soup with salt and pepper, but it was still delicious. Thanks for the recipe!

Chicken and Bowtie Pasta with Asiago Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
Fabulous recipe--I love it, and so does my fiance. I make this dish according to the recipe; however, I omit the mushrooms and add green peas and kalamata olives instead. An odd combination, I know, but it's delicious!
