Apple Crisp III

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2007
I made this for a company picnic the night before and it was nothing but mush the next day. It was more like apple pudding, nothing crisp about it all. Major disappointment, I'm going to move onto other recipes.

Brownie Delight

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2007
I made this for work and everyone loved it. I thought it had just a tad too much whipped topping but it was tasty. For the pudding I used 1cup milk and 1 cup heavy whipping cream to get a creamer pudding. I also placed the pan in the fridge after adding each layer for at least 20 minutes so the layers wouldnt blend when spreading the new one on. I'm sure I'll be asked to make this over and over and over.

Chocolate Mint Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2007
These took at least 45 minutes to bake all the way through . And I used 1 tsp of mint extract in the frosting and it was too much, all you could taste was mint. Next time I will put in 1/2 tsp at most. At the very least I'm willing to give this recipe one more try.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2005
I just threw stuff together, not paying attention to exact measurement. I added a dash of nutmeg and vanilla and it turned out great! I was just playing around.. I wasnt expecting it to turn out. I'll be keeping this one on the books.

Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2005
I love how the filling isnt overpowered with tons and tons of brown sugar like the typical cinnamon roll. I'll be making this again for sure.

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2005
I followed the directions exactly, and the middle was soggy and horrible. I'll just stick to the run of the mill french toast, it's a lot easier of a process, I know how to they are going to turn out and the topping is usually just syrup.. not the fatty combo of corn syrup, butter and brown sugar. Plus the pan was a PAIN to clean, even when I buttered it as directed.

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
The sauce had a good taste, but was a little thick for me. I didn't add the white wine because we're non drinkers and it seemed like a pain to buy for only a half cup. I cut the recipe in half and still had leftovers after a dinner for 4. But everyone loved how the sauce wasn't chunky, its hard to find a good marinara sauce without huge tomato or onion chunks. I'll make again, with some minor adjustments.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
Great recipe, easy to make and something that everyone will enjoy, even those who hate veggies. I used alfredo from a jar and it worked. I also just used the type of cheese I had on hand, romano and parmesan. I just wish that I would of realized the serving size before cooking this, because now I have A LOT of leftovers and I dont think I'll be able to resist it.

Addictive Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
Compared to other pumpkin spice muffin recipes I got off the site, this one failed. Since there were so many eggs used, the muffin turned out chewy. I ate half a muffin and tossed the rest.

A Jerky Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
This was the tastiest chicken I've had in awhile! We served it on top of cesar salad and it was great. I added a little more brown sugar then called for to make it a sweeter sauce and put in 3/4 of the habanero pepper. Next time, I would just keep my fingers covered when cutting the pepper because my fingers tasted spicy and hot for at least a full day after cutting it. Even after soaking my fingers in lemon juice, they still had the pepper taste.

Easy No Bake Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2005
I kept adding oatmeal until I thought it would set correctly, but I apparently didnt put enough (I stopped around 4 1/4 cup) because they are gooey and impossible to eat. I wont be trying this recipe again because the taste of the cookie doesnt even compare to the amount of fat these have in them (I mean, they're all butter and sugar basically.)

Pumpkin Muffins II

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2005
These were super tasty and my boyfriend ate them all within two days. He even took some into work to share with his friends but ended up hiding them and secretly eating them later because he loved them so much. I cut the cloves to a teaspoon and half and they turned out great. But the recipe makes A LOT of batter, way more then a dozen. It made a dozen jumbo sized muffin (grocery store size) and will for sure make 24 regular sized.

Zucchini Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2005
The cookies were tasty, but it tasted just like zucchini bread, but without the best part of the bread, the middle! I make at least 1 loaf of zucchini bread a month and these cookies just tasted like the outside of the loaf. I'll pass on making this one again.

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2005
I've never seen such a simple recipe, I was even hesitant to write it down it seemed so simple. We don’t own a meat pounder / tenderizer so we used a garlic press and whacked it good but the chicken was still a little too thick. And it was hard to roll, the chicken breasts are so slimy! But none of that was on fault of the recipe. I was skeptical the meal but it turned out great and even my picky guests went back for seconds. I think next time I will make it with a sauce though.

Four Spice Crackles

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2005
The recipe was tasty, and pretty easy to make. After eating a few I felt like I was set for awhile. I dont think it's something you could sit down and stuff your face with, but, sometimes thats a good thing! I will for sure make again, but the mood will have to strike me.

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2005
This was SUPER tasty, even after reading the reviews I was still surprised. I used the kraft grated parmesan cheese you put on spaghetti and it turned out a little grainy so I'll use better quality cheese next time. When you cook this, make sure that you have people to share it with because you'll want to eat the entire pot.

Pumpkin Cookies I

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2005
This recipe was perfect for my boyfriend, he doesnt eat chocolate and the ONLY pie he will eat is pumpkin. I made some without the butterscotch chips because I dont really care for them and the cookie was a little tame. It needs some kind of chip added, chocolate, white chocolate, butterscotch.. something to add more flavor.
