Sweet Pepper Pasta Toss with Kale

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
This was super yummy but I made a few changes. I added 1 orange bell pepper, 1/4 cup chopped purple onion, and a pound and half of chopped chicken breast that I marinated for a few hours in a tomato garlic basil marinade. I also used whole wheat penne pasta. Super yummy and the kids ate it up!

Boyfriend Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2012
These brownies were amazing!! I used 2, 3.5 oz lindt 85% coco bars and 2, 3.5 oz lindt 90% coco bars. I did not add in the chocolate chips but did stir in the walnuts. I baked these in a 9 x 13 pyrex casserole at 325 for 35 minutes. Thanks for this magical recipe!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2012
These were delicious!! I also did all butter vs the butter shortening combo that the recipe called for. Aside from that I followed the recipe. Will definitely make these again!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2012
These cookies are delicious!! My family rated them as the best cookies ever :) My oven runs a little hot so I reduced the temp to 325. Aside from that I completely followed the recipe.

Strawberry Refrigerator Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2012
Delicious!! I brought this cake to a BBQ today and everyone loved it! My only change was I didn't use frozen and then thawed strawberries. I put 1 pint of fresh strawberries, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/8 of a cup water into my food processor and then pureed it. Super easy recipe and a huge hit. I will definitely make this again.

Sweet and Sour Smoked Sausage

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2012
This turned out really yummy! I did do a few things different though. 1. I left out the butter. 2. I added more sweet and sour sauce then the recipe called for. I used a 10 oz jar of La Choy. 3. I added a can of drained pineapple. 4. I put it all in the crock pot on low for 8 hours. The sauce was a bit on the thin side so I ladled some of it into a measuring cup and then whisked in 5 tablespoons of flour. I then added the thickened sauce back to the crock pot. I served this with instant brown rice and it was a huge hit!

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2013
Cranberry sauce? How about awesome sauce?! I made this as is but after tasting decided it needed a pinch of cinnamon, orange zest, and a little extra sugar. Those slight adjustments made this recipe outstanding!!
