Apple Peanut Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
I didn't have chutney but this dressing was still delish! Not too oily or acidic and the curry powder adds fantastic flavor. I put in a little bit of marmalade in place of the chutney but thought it would have been fine, if not better, without it. Will have to try it with chutney soon!

Pasta e Olio

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
It was 4am and I had a hankering for something savory and substantial and since this was so easy and quick, I decided to try it. It's delicious! The red pepper flakes add the perfect kick to it- I think the recipe might have been a little boring without it. I sorta incorporated the Onion Pasta recipe from this site into this recipe by adding some sliced onions and dried basil in with the oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes. I didn't toss the parsley in until the end, just because I was afraid it would lose some of the vibrant brightness had I sauteed the heck out of it.

Strawberry Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2008
Was looking for a way to use up all the strawberries I had and this was a very quick, easy, yummy recipe. Never had strawberry bread before but I definitely enjoyed it. I would probably add more strawberries next time since I felt the strawberries got lost in there.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2008
Essentially a mini fruit salad. There was sooooo much juice coming out of the fruits. I only added 1.5 tablespoons apple jelly and completely nixed the brown sugar. In the future, I might just add a smidgen of jelly or fruit preserves to meld everything together, but it doesn't really even need it. Very tasty nonetheless. I think I'll try making the cinnamon chips with pita bread next time.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2008
These are heavenly! I wish I had all the ingredients to make them right now. Soooooo soooooo good and so so easy to make. I think I made them three times the day I tried these out. I love tomatoes and sundried tomatoes so this recipe was perfect. Oh, and who doesn't love basil? And cheese... and balsamic... haha, I think you get my point.

MMMMM... Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2008
I never use cococa powder so naturally, never have it on hand so I'm really glad I came across a brownie recipe that doesn't call for it. Very handy and useful. The brownies are good, not the best I've had, but I still enjoy them. I'll make them again to see if they live up to what everyone else is saying about them.

D's Famous Salsa

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2008
Love this! It's so easy to tailor it to your tastes. I don't blend mine because I like chunky salsa, but maybe I'll try blending some and and mixing it with the unblended salsa the next time I make it. Which should be this weekend. :)

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2008
I've made this recipe a few times and I loved it. I haven't made this in a while so I'm not sure if I tweak it at all, but I'll be sure to update the next time I make it if I do change it a bit. Love this. It's great. Very moist. I like to toast it in the toaster before eating. This was one of the first Allrecipes recipe I've ever tried (when I was about 12 I think) and it introduced me to the beauty that is Allrecipes. I made a batch with mini chocolate chips and sent them to my boyfriend. He says it's as good as, if not better, than his mom's!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2008
I've made this recipe countless times and have never reviewed or rated, because this recipe already has so many! I absolutely LOVE this cookie. It's delicious, chewy, humongous, chocolaty, easy to make... what more could you want? I usually go through a good chunk of the reviews before trying out a recipe with the suggested tweaks. Did not change a single thing about this cookie and I loved it. Melting the butter makes it so much easier to cream with the sugars. Going to try to make a smaller version of this soon so I can get more than just 18 cookies out of a batch. Oh, and yes, everyone who's tried these love them too!

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
These took a bit of work to make! I didn't realize how large of a bowl was needed for 4 cups of flour and all the other ingredients. It was my first time making scones so the vastness of the ingredients and dough took a little getting used to, but they turned out yummy! Even though I realized after popping them into the oven I completely forgot to add any of the eggs! I made some plain, with blueberries, with chocolate chips, and with white chocolate chips.

Apple Enchilada Dessert

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
These are so yummy and extremely easy to make. Everyone who's tried them has loved then. I wish I could make these more often, but unfortunately, we hardly ever have canned pie filling or tortillas on hand. I've also made these with microwaved pie filling (some chopped apples and cinnamon sugar in the microwave) and they came out just as great. Thanks for sharing!

Chemical Apple Pie (No Apple Apple Pie)

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2006
My first review ever on AllRecipes even though I've been on here for so long. My friend and I made this as part of our chemistry project ("The Chemistry of Baking") and everyone loved it. One of my friends actually said it was the best apple pie he ever had- real or fake. I'm not sure if I'd go THAT far, but was certainly tasty and fun to make.
