Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2006
Excellent recipe! These cookies have become a family favorite, and the recipe is sooooo easy anyone can make them. I've made these cookies for parties and family gatherings. I like to make "colorful" batches, by using raspberry, blackberry/blueberry, and apricot jams. You can use almost any flavored jam and the cookies will taste great.

Caramel Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
I'm a big fan of pecan pie, and this pie is absolutely delicious! I made it for the first time today for Thanksgiving, and it was a huge hit. I took everyone else's advice and used 1/2 cup of light brown sugar instead of white sugar. Also, I used 1 1/2 cups of pecan halves instead of 1 cup, and I'm glad I did. This pie is so easy to make and the results are fabulous! Definitely a keeper!

Apple Strudel Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2005
Delicious! However I will make one suggestion, definitely try doubling this recipe and make 12 jumbo-sized muffins. I made these muffins for the first time right now, doubled the recipe, and they came out perfect! Not only do they taste great, they look great too! Everyone loved them. Also, dont think about omitting the strudel topping, the topping is the best part!

English Royalty Chocolate Chip Scones

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2005
I listened to the other reviewers and increased the OJ amount to 8 T. The scones came out perfectly fine, but no one was really thrilled about the flavor. And they were also a bit too sweet.

General Tsao's Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2005
Really good recipe. I didnt put in any MSG, and cut the starch in half, along with the soy sauce amount. The first time I made it, it came out way too starchy. Second time I made it and cut the starch it was fine.

Kulfi

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2005
Great recipe! I tweaked it up a little bit by doing the following: I first took whole cardamom pods (skins removed), 1/4 cup pistachios, and ground them up in a coffee grinder until powdery. Then I added it to the blender with the remaining ingredients, plus 1/2 teaspoon of rose water. Also, I used Light whipped topping. It tasted great! Everyone loved it, and I have already made it twice in the past few days!
