Fra Diavolo Sauce With Pasta

This was a delicious, very simple recipe. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the amount of red pepper asked for in this recipe is too much, even for someone like me who enjoys spicy dishes! I wish I had listened to another reviewer's advice and cut the amount of red pepper in half. Otherwise, it was fabulous and I will be making it again, with that adjustment. I made mine with some sweet Italian sausage and fresh clams, which was a variation on the typical shrimp fra diavolo.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Excellent recipe based on taste and overall ease. I'm eating it as we speak & couldn't wait to rate & review it. I made one small modification... diced and fried 1/4 cup of bacon in some oil for extra flavor, and added the vegetables and water right in the same pot when the bacon was crispy enough. Great soup and excellent way to use up the leftover Christmas ham!

Make Ahead French Toast

This is a great recipe.. we enjoy it for Christmas Breakfast and Easter Breakfast, and I make it a lot when we have brunches at work. People always ask me for the recipe. One thing I do differently, though, is I use the entire loaf of French Bread. I use the 1-inch slices to cover the bottom, but then I break the remaining bread into 1-inch cubes, dip them, and cover the top with them. This makes it thicker and it looks more appetizing.

Perfect Lobster Bisque

I've used this recipe with some modifications based on all of the reader reviews & it always comes out great. I use my hand blender to blend the vegetables & seafood, because I found that transferring to the countertop blender was too messy. Also, I add clam juice instead of broth, as it gives it more of a seafood flavor, and I skip the wine. I also use just celery & onions and not the carrots & mushrooms. I also use imitation crab & lobster meat sometimes, or throw in scallops and/or shrimp. The base is excellent, and the cayenne pepper gives it just enough kick! I forgot to mention that I also add a small can of tomato paste and blend it with the vegetables and broth/clam juice. It helps thicken the bisque a bit and also gives it more flavor and color.

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

This was the EASIEST recipe! I am just amazed at how easy it was, and my children just love the fudge. I took the advice of the other reviewers and used 2 cups brown sugar, 1 cup PB and 3 cups confectioner's, and it came out perfect. Also, by mistake I had crunchy peanut butter in the pantry, but I used it, and it still came out great! Great, easy, quick recipe with no candy thermometer needed!

Grandma's Yorkshire Pudding

I absolutely loved this recipe. The individual servings were great and they puffed perfectly. I've made yorkshire pudding in a baking dish for years, but I never will again. I was very, very pleased!

Richard's Seafood Chowder

Wow- I was VERY disappointed with this recipe. First of all, since the vegetables (including the potatoes) were "minced" it really lacked the chunky vegetables usually associated with a chowder. Secondly, there was very little flavor, even though I added additional clam juice, cayenne pepper, and salt & pepper. The broth also seemed to seperate, making a very odd consistency. My husband, who found & was looking forward to the recipe, ordered a pizza.
