A-Number-1 Banana Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
I give this recipe 5 stars for simplicity and overall nice taste. This is the recipe to make with those overripe bananas that you never got around to eating. Plus, you probably have all the ingredients at home. I baked in 9x13 at 350 for 35 minutes (I like my top a bit brown) I had a piece this morning (have kept in refrigerator for almost a week now)and it still tastes fresh - tastes like banana snack cake/muffin.

Shepherd's Pie VI

This recipe gets 5 stars for being inexpensive but 4 stars for taste. I definitely will make again, but it's not the type of meal to make for company.

This gets Five Stars for the simplicity and 4 for taste. It was perfect for my family reunion; gobbled down immediately - looks so nice with chocolate shavings on top.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

This is so delicious but a bit time-consuming. If you want essentially the same recipe, but in less time, use the Publix Simple Apron Recipe (from Publix Grocery Store website) - tastes pretty much the same.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
For rice pudding, I've never tasted any better. Stick to the recipe please, and use the medium grain rice. Don't use your day-old rice unless you absolutely have to - it blends so much better that way. This is some yummy comfort food.

Easy Indian Style Okra

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2008
I usually shy away from okra, but have been trying to incorporate more veggies into my diet, so I tried this - Much better than I had anticipated! I cut okra and soaked in vinegar/water solution, then rinsed and patted dry. The seasoning is not overpowering at all - I added 1/2 tsp salt, reduced butter to 1 Tbs., added 1/4 cup of chix broth to okra once butter was soaked up. I also added a small diced tomato. I loved it!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2008
These are the most DELICIOUS cookies!!! I didn't have whipping cream, so used whole milk, and didn't have quick oats, so I used regular oats. I had to bake for 12 min and only added half of the liquid to the filling. Tasted crunchy, light, buttery, and delicious.

The Way to a Man's Heart

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2008
This recipe is quite delicious, but the only problem was that it costs a bit too much to make unless you serve to someone who is a seafood LOVER. My husband enjoyed it, but he enjoys meatloaf too - it was just another dinner to him.

Make sure to double the crumb topping!!! I used a mini-muffin pan. These are absolutely wonderful - never thought that a topping could make such a difference.

These little muffins are delish!! I used a dark non-stick mini-muffin pan - fill to the top and bake 16-17 min at 350. Very moist and no overpowering flavors. Great for Pre-K Snack

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
Great quick yummy appetizer. I used a 7oz can of sliced jalapenos/drained and it wasn't too spicy. Sprinkled with both the parmesan cheese and some toasted bread crumbs I made with french bread. (Tear the bread and pulse in the blender until fine and then toast dry on the stovetop.) I had to take to a party the next day so I microwaved everything but the topping in a plastic bowl the night before. When I arrived at the party, I reheated in same bowl, then poured into pretty bright red dish and microwaved 2 minutes with topping. Add whole jalapeno for presentation

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
Delicious blend of flavors, and soooo easy. I mixed everything the night before a party and kept refrigerated. I used a loaf of French Bread that my bakery sliced thin and broiled in oven until brown. I microwaved the mixture the next morning and drained before spooning on the bread - topped with a slice of cheese before baking for 5minutes in 350 degree oven. These were a hit - also, you can reheat easily

Alabama Pulled Pig

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2013
Well, I had to improvise again, but it worked so I'm passing on.... I didn't have apple cider vinegar, so I used white vinegar, and then I substituted Berry Juicy Juice instead of water. (apple juice would probably work, but I didn't have it on hand at time either.) Added a splash of seasoning sauce because I didn't have a smoker, and cooked on low in my slow cooker. Fantabulous, so I know the original must be Uber Fantabulous.
