Potato Cake

I made this recipe exactly as written, which everyone should do if they plan to review any recipe. It was absolutely wonderful! I could have added an extra pinch of garlic salt, but they were really good. They tasted just like the ones my mom made when I was growing up. This is definitely a recipe I will use again and again. Thanks, Dave, for sharing the recipe.

Baked Beans II

I just made these baked beans exactly as written, except that I doubled the recipe and baked them in a 9 X 13-inch pan. In fact, they will come out of the oven in 4 minutes. I've already tasted them and they are way too sweet. I would definitely use this recipe again because they have a wonderful flavor, but I would have to cut the amount of brown sugar in half or less. I fixed them for a cookout we are attending in about 30 minutes. I hope our friends like extra sweet baked beans. Really good recipe overall.

Oven Scrambled Eggs

I will NEVER fix scrambled eggs on the stovetop again! I cut the recipe in half for the four of us, but we had some left over. I'm going to try reheating them for breakfast in the morning. These were delicious!

Tart Lemon Triangles

This is a really good recipe. I made it exactly as written, except that I doubled the filling. It is tart, but sweet. The crust is wonderful. My crust stuck to my pie plate but that was my fault for not greasing the plate enough. My family agreed that this one is a keeper!

Smashed Potatoes

I fixed these potatoes for dinner tonight and we LOVED them! I did grind the herbs in a small food processor before adding the oil and butter. It worked really well. I doubled the recipe and the six of us (my parents ate with us tonight) finished all three pounds of potatoes. I think they would have eaten more if I'd had them. Both of our kids asked when I was planning to make them again. They can rest won't be long.
