Cajun Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
First batch I followed the recipe exactly and it was WAY too salty!! Second batch, I cut the salt in half and I still thought it was too salty. Next time, if I try this recipe again, I will cut out the salt completely.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
I have additionaly questions! I think I am doing something wrong! Hopefully someone can help! How long should the sugar/butter mixture simmer? I tried making the sugar/butter mixture twice but both times is turned out not so liquidy! It was imposible to pour through the lattice since it was so thick. I can't figure out what I've done wrong! Can someone help clarify.

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
I was disappointed with this recipe. From the excellent reviews, I expected it to taste better. Here are my opinions. - Crust was a little too overpowering for me. Next time I will stick to a pure graham cracker crust. - The top looked brown to me and not very pretty. I'm wondering if cooking it an hour is too long. If I make this again, I would try 45 minutes instead. - It too heavy and not sweet enough for my taste. I thought the flavor was very blah. While I did not love it, some other people who tried it really liked it. However, they prefer cheesecakes that are not very sweet. If you have more of a sweet tooth, I would suggest looking for a different recipe.

Milk Chocolate Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2008
This was very good, but I over-cooked it, due to the instructions. Ignore the instructions that says a knife should come out clean... With the chocolate chips and corn syrup, it will not come out clean even when done cooking. I cooked mine 10 minutes over because I was waiting for my knife to come out clean,(never did) and it ended up a little hard and burnt on the edges. The center was delicious though!

Oven-Fried Potatoes

They were good, but way too greasy. Next time I will do what another reviewer suggested and cut the oil used in half.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2005
Very good. I only used 1/2 can of beer, cause I hate beer. And put salt/pepper/garlic powder/ and sweet onions in with it. My family loved it but I felt that there was a little something missing. I think next time I'll add more spices and maybe try some other seasonings.

Easiest Lemony Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2005
This was excellent. I also used the whole package of pudding mix and added 1/2 cup of blueberries to the mixture as I poured it into the pan. After the cake cooled I added whipped topping and sprinkled another 1/2 cup of blueberries on top. Looked and tasted wonderful. I highly recommend this.
