Skillet Herbed Chicken with Mustard

This is pretty tart, the mustard taste is strong. Not necessarily a bad thing, but worth a warning. Probably pretty easy to control by using different strength mustards.

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

I normally like this sort of soup but I didn't care much for this. It was oddly sweet which really distracted from the flavor. It might be the salsa you use, since I can't think of anything else that would give it the sweet flavor. I'd recommend getting something either fairly bland or that has a flavor suite that complements the soup. In any case, avoid the sweet ones!

Philly Steak Salad

Based on flavor alone, I'd probably give this a 3, meat and cheese, how can you go wrong? The deal breaker here was discovering that the curly frys are *within* rather than *akin* to the dish. As such, rather than the crisp, firm curly fries one might desire, you end up with soggy, limp, mildly tragic objects with a rather unfortunate texture. It's just not right.

Spicy Italian Pork Cutlets

Wow, really good. Normally with these sorts of things the spice is overwelming but the flavor is italian, but surpringly subtle. Complements the flavor of the pork amazingly.

Broiled Lemon and Garlic Tiger Prawns

Nummy! But garlic and prawns, how can you go wrong. One small suggestion, as this is recommended for a movie night (read, it's dark). Peel the shells first, pulling those off in a dark room is going to be messy.

Orange Zest Cake

I actually liked this at first, it has a bit of the rubbery texture that Splenda cakes all seem to, but the flavor was good with the orange covering the Splenda aftertaste fairly well. However, in the last bite I got a real blast of bitter, might have been a Splenda thing, may have just been some orange or lemon peel that didn't mix well enough, no way to be sure. Long story short here, if you make it, make sure it mixes *really* well.
