Butter Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2014
I am trying this soup now. So far it is great, but not sure about the instructions on how to make the 'noodles'. I don't understand how to form the noodles as you pour the dough. The directions say to add water to make a thick dough, but I thick of dough as being something thicker, not something you could pour. I read other reviews that used a spoon or sieve to make them Could someone let me know how much water they added, and some clearer instructions how to form the noodles? thanks

Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2014
So good! My only complaint is the quantity. We made this for a dinner for 10 hungry adults and teens. We had so much left overs! I should't complain too much, it was great the next day too. I would 1/2 the recipe next time.

Chocolate Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2013
I made this, followed the recipe before reading some of the reviews. It tasted amazing but was very runny. I should have left the milk out until the end like some reviewers suggested. I had to add more icing sugar, I couldn`t taste the cream cheese.

Sara's Iced Coffee

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2013
So refreshing, I used milk instead of cream and only added about 2 tbls sugar. I made a pitcher of it to keep in the fridge. It didn't last long. I will never go to Timmies or Starbucks for iced coffee again.

Crepes

Reviewed: May 11, 2013
This recipe was so easy and so delicious. Cooking them took a bit of practice. The trick is to not use too much oil and to start tilting the pan as soon as you start pouring the batter.

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2013
I was disappointed, it was bland and heavy. I am a experienced baker and followed the recipe. I am going to try again because it had so many great reviews. Next time I will try what others suggest and use 1/2 shortening. I will also double the vanilla or use lemon extract. * I tried this cake again and discovered some tricks. use cake and pastry flour and sift it. The second time it came out light, fluffy and moist.

Mrs. Sigg's Fresh Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2012
This was so much easier than I thought it would be. I did have to roast the pumpkin twice as long as the recipe said. I was worried because it looked kind of stringy and very watery, but it came out perfectly. I will never buy canned pumpkin again.

Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
I have always bought fondant because I thought it was too hard to make and wouldn't roll well. I will never buy it again. This was so easy to make, It rolled just like the store bought kind and tasted much better.

I make these every Christmas, they are always a big hit, everyone asks for the recipe. The kids aren't so fond of the tart-sweetness, but the grown ups love them.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
I thought i had an amazing choco chip cookie, but this one is outstanding, the extra egg yolk adds richness and better texture. But 1/4 cup of dough per cookies??!!! Maybe that is why we so many of us are overweight :(

Ravishing Red Velvet Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
I gave this 3 stars, but only because of the icing. The cake came out dry and heavy. The icing however was very yummy. I used my mixer and beat it for about 10 minutes, it came out light and fluffy and tasted rich and creamy. I will look for a better cake recipe.

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
This was good, but a little bland for my liking. I used fresh garlic, some green pepper and a dach of tabasco. I wasn't sure about cooking the rice before adding the liquid, but it turned out well.
