Chocolate Rum Balls I

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
I thought these were wonderful and my family loved them! This was my first try at making rum balls and I found them really pretty easy. I noticed another reviewer did not like the bits of cookie in the dough so I used my blender for crushing the cookies. The dough is a little sticky. I used a cookie scoop and kept the dough chilled and didn't have much issue with the stickiness. This recipe does have a strong rum flavor so cut back a bit if you're not a big fan, but that's what I loved about it! The only reason I didn't give this recipe a 5 is that I do wish they were more chocolatey. The next time I'll try using chocolate wafers.

Creamy Chicken Rice Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2010
I made this soup the first time following the recipe exactly and it was wonderful. Since then I've added some chopped cilantro which goes well with the lemon and serve it with some lemon wedges for those who want a little more of the lemon flavor. This soup gets rave reviews from family and friends every time!

Lucky and Rippy's Favorite Dog Food

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
This is a good basic recipe, although somewhat lacking in some important nutritional elements. I applaud anyone looking for a healthy alternative to store bought canned pet food. I use this basic recipe and tweek it a bit(adding some vitamins and supplements suggested by my vet)for my diabetic dog. I use brown rice (aids digestion, provides nutrients, and considered a whole grain), and a variety of fresh vegetables lightly steamed and chopped. I sometimes cook the rice in organic vegetable/chiken/beef broth to add a little flavor.

Coconut (Haupia) and Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2005
This pie is wonderful!! Next time I will try using less chocolate though, I think it overpowered the delicate haupia flavor of the white layer. My other suggestion would be to double this recipe and make 2 pies!!

Easy and Delicious Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2005
Easy and very tasty. I saved about a tablespoon or so of the Italian dressing and stirred it in at the end. I also added sauted mushrooms and 1 tsp. of paprika (for much needed color)as suggested by other reviews. I think next time I'll add just a tad more basil and thyme. Great over egg noodles.

Snickerdoodles V

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2005
I'm a big snickerdoodle fan and these cookies are one of the best I've ever made! I (like some other reviewers)added a tsp. of vanilla, and I also replaced the shortening with butter. Love these cookies!
