Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2005
This has become a regular dish in our house. (not good for the waist line but great for the taste buds!) I love it. I used way too much chocolate the first time and it was overpowering... but that was my fault! hehe

Portobello Mushroom Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2005
My vegie boyfriend described these as "The best burgers I have ever had." Which i think speaks for itself. They are wonderful! The taste is amazing. Great with lettuce and mayo. Served them with chips made of sweet potatos....

Sweet Potato Pie I

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2005
I really enjoy the cinnamony flavour of this dish. I was planning to top it with pecans but forgot at the last minute. But I'm sure i will make it again, so no problems there!

French Bread Rolls to Die For

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2005
I honestly wish there was a higher rating than five on this site! I would give these ten out of five.. they are wonderful! I had never made bread before EVER and i was worried about what would happen, but they were absolutley perfect. I made them for a feast and i was thrilled with the results. I have just put another lot in to rise and it's only two days later! so easy, hassle free and tasty. I'm trying it with garlic and herb, i'll let you know when they're done!

Cranberry, Sausage and Apple Stuffing

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2005
considering my boyfirend doesn't like cranberries or apples... i figure him eating all the stuffing that was left over for the next two days high praise. i added twice as many cranberries, solely because i bought too many, but in t he end they made it very moist and tasty! thankyou!!

it tasted a lot like eggs. My english boys said they were tasty but not a whole lot like Yorshire Puds. Never mind...

I love this sauce and will definatly use it for other things as well, I wasn't too keen on just asparagus, but the flavour was brilliant. My boyfriend was looking at me funny when I said it was Wasabi and Orange for dinner. he didn't belieive me that it would work, but it DOES!!

Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2005
This is AWSOME. I have never cooked a carrot cake before, and i had no idea what I was doing, (thus when I got to the icing and realised I had bought COTTAGE cheese, instead of CREAM cheese.) Either way, it was easy and fun and tastes great. As i'm typing this i'm actually eating it!!! I love it, i'll make it again, (though I didn't use this much oil, only a cup,) and it was still moist and beautiful. YUM YUMYUM!! ps. My icing was just icing sugar and vanilla and cream.

Veggie Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2005
This was great to add into, I put a couple of carrots and a couple of corgettes in, (just cause they were lying around) and had to use cream of asparagus instead. (cream of celery was non existant in the store i went to.) My boyfriend loved the creamy sauce. I wasn't too thrilled, but I think as a side it would be ok... (yeah, we ate it as a main meal. That's me not reading the recipe properly again) It was alright, though i put the thing too close to the top of the oven and the crackers burned the first time. (I scraped them off and tried again hehe) With bread or some kind of main food, it could be really nice. I still don't think I'll make it again, but thanks!

Chickpea Curry

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2005
I found this was really really dry. I don't know what went on here. For overall flavour it was lovely, but as far as texture goes, it was a flop. I think I would have to serve it was something saucy to compensate... or maybe add a lot more water or liquid... I think I drained the beans, and replaced the bean water with normal water to avoid the canny flavour, maybe that's where i messed up. Still, great taste!

Green Curry Tofu

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2005
I thought this was great, I had planned heaps of time to do t and then discovered it was so easy it only took a few minutes. I had to keep the sauce simmering for ages, while I waited for the boys to get home but it was great!! Well worth the little wait. I used a different type of tofu, which is already coated in honey soy marinate, which worked perfetcly, it's not silky tofu, which is slimy, it was crunchy and delicious. I think I would definatly make this again!

Sweet Potato Casserole II

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2005
This was great... unfortunatly, I decided to make it as a side dish to go with stuffed eggplant (also on this site) which was lovely. It's a great flavour, but I didn't realise it was a dessert!! Did I miss something, or is this really a side dish in America?? Either way, I didn't make enough to feed everyone who wanted to eat it after thier first bite. It was a huge hit with everyone, even the very fussy who won't normally eat a vegetable!! Brilliant!
