I haven't been cooking long, but I have caught on quick, and I LOVE it!
My favorite things to cook
Chicken... for some reason i can get it just right. Not dry or undercooked. Everyone loves it, so Woohoo! I also love to bake. For Christmas i spend a whole day and a half baking for just our family of 3. It is a little overboard, but i get to try a bunch of new things... lots from allrecipes!

Roasted Herb Chicken and Potatoes
Fantastic and easy recipe. As others have said, I used the pan drippings to make some of the move amazing gravy I have ever had. I used a hand blender to mash the potatoes and onions for fantastic mashed potatoes as well. The only thing I did differently was to add a bit of red wine to the pan to keep everything moist. Will most certainly make it again!

Holiday Cranberry Sauce
I love this. I've been making it every single year for thanksgiving and christmas for the past 3 years. It is a total hit! I also save the cranberry "water" once i drain the cranberries to help add flavor to the next years batch! It says to put it in the fridge for 8 hours or more, but I always cook it day of. This sauce is almost better warm, and will have more chunky cranberries. So good!

Cheddar Chicken
FANTASTIC! Oh i loved this chicken so much! I used the butter, but put 2 garlic cloves in it while it was simmering to add some extra flavor. I also used saltines since i had no cornflakes, but it turned out fabulous. 10 minutes before it was done, i sprinkled more cheese on top. Made a crispy cheesey top layer, which was so good. I am making this again for my dad in a few days because he loved it so much!
