Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2007
I've been making this for a few years, and thought I'd comment. I mix it all in a ziplock bag, and cut an end to pipe it into a disposable metal bread pan. I usually drain some of the fat off while it cooks. It usually takes about an hour & half for me in my oven. I also put the topping on the top. I serve it with mashed potatoes, it's one of my husbands favorites.

Au Gratin Beef Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2007
I made this last night, I had all of the ingredients, but it just wasn't that good. It was edible, maybe a dish that young kids may eat up, but my husband & I were disappointed. I threw it away after we each had a helping. It was very easy to make, i tried to add some seasonings based on other comments, not sure how to help this recipe.

Chicken Noodle Casserole II

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2007
This was a quick & easy meal. I followed someone elses suggestion & boiled chicken breast is some seasoning-I used mrs dash garlic. Then added peas & mushrooms. My husband loved it, so I made a second the next day for my grandma- a hit again.

Texas Hash

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2006
This was very easy to make, but I didn't think it was very good. It was very runny. Maybe draining the diced tomatoes would've helped that. I like a thicker sauce. Won't be making this again.

Brown Family's Favorite Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2006
I have been making this for 4 years, and it is a family favorite. My only change is to use pecans instead of walnuts. It seems to take longer to bake in my oven also, I usually end up baking for about 1 1/2 total, my pie middle never sets after the initial 55 minutes for the recipe. I also wrap foil around the crust to prevent it from burning. This is the best pie ever!!!

Slow Cooker London Broil

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2006
I made this tonight, I liked this, hubby thought it was just ok. He felt the meat turned out well, but wasn't a fan of the sauce. I follow the suggestion of using only half of the onion seasoning, and thickened the sauce a little with cornstarch as it was a little runny. I added mushrooms. I served it over red skined mashed potatoes. Very easy to make, wish I could make hubby like it more.

Cranberry Puffs

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2006
I made this for Thanksgiving, and it was not well received. I followed the instructions, and it just turned out blah. I was looking forward to this because I like wontons & spicy food. I will not be making this again.

Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2006
This has a wonderful taste to it! My husband & really enjoyed it. I only made some minor changes, added 2 cups each more of chicken broth & tomato suace as I like the "soup" part of soup. I was a little nervous about putting in the wine because I've had recipes end up tasting only like the wine, but this really did complement it the soup. I would make this again.

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2006
I made this tonight, and my hubby & I loved it! I made only a few changes, I sautéed in EVO the onion & celery, and added shredded carrots. It seemed to add a little something extra from a soup I made from allrecipres last week. I followed previous comments, bought a rotisserie chicken, and had it cooking in the broth for about an hour before shredding. I used 6 cans of chicken broth, which comes out to 84oz. I used the frozen Reams noodles instead of the regular egg noodles, I just like them better. I would use less salt next time, 1 1/2 tbls seems a little too high for me. All in all, this is a keeper!

Cream Cheese Squares

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2005
My family really liked this recipe. I made some changes: I used a 6 x 6 pan, 1 tube of crescent roll, 1 cup of sugar, 1 8oz package of cream cheese, real lemon zest, I brushed butter on top (I saw comments on it being soggy), & sprinkled sugar & tupperware seasoning "cinnamon vanilla" on top. I cooked the bottom crust 1st for about 5 minutes also.
