Overnight Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2010
this is so good and so easy! i'm making it for family brunch this weekend and since my Grandma especially loves it, i'll make an extra one for her to take home. i usually add more than a cup of blueberries to it, i don't think a cup is enough!

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2008
this recipe is so easy and tasty, perfect for me! this is the first chili i've made and it was really good. i left out green peppers and added more spices (i like spicier chili)and served over spaghetti noodles. yum! thanks for sharing, George!

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
this was really good and soooo easy. i used canned diced potatoes bc i didn't have much time. also added a small can of creamed corn and it was great. otherwise, i followed the recipe. try it, it doesn't get much easier than this!

Cheesy Brat Stew for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2008
very good, i used half velveeta and half shredded cheddar, turned out great. also tossed in a small can of corn and small can of carrots, yum. definitely not low fat, but still very good. served with garlic crescent rolls.

Shrimp Vermicelli Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2007
this pasta salad was super tasty and really quite easy to make. i made it using dill instead of thyme and less pasta like other reviewers suggested. the only thing i would do differently next time is i will break the pasta in half before cooking - it was really hard to get everything to combine with super long strands. still, i will defintely make again.

Ali's Greek Tortellini Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2007
this salad is super and easy easy easy! i left out the onions (didn't have any) and tossed in a few grape tomatoes i had on hand. great for summertime, with no A/C at my house i refuse to turn on the oven in summer. this made a lot of salad but that's ok, i'll eat it up in the next few days. its THAT delish.

Orange Cream Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2007
this was pretty good, i think i might have added a little too much OJ, but still tasty. i used fresh strawberries, blueberries, grapes, canned mandarin oranges, pineapple tidbits and...i think that's it. it was pretty popular, though i did have a little leftover - which was AOK with me! i did, like others, let the fruit drain overnight. i also bought the big (5 oz?) box of pudding by accident, but i ended up using about 3/4 of it to thicken up the dressing - that way if there was any liquid left in the fruit the salad wouldn't get runny. worked PERFECTLY! thanks a ton for sharing!

Baked Omelet Squares

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
i can eat breakfast anytime of the day, so i knew this would be good. its a great basic recipe, with endless possibilities. i subbed cooked breakfast sausage for the ham, otherwise, i made it as written - YUM! so tasty, easy and used only a few dishes (always a bonus, i hate washing dishes). GREAT! thanks for sharing.

Tater Tot Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2007
This dish was so tasty! I was really looking forward to some good fattening winter comfort food and this fit the bill! I didn't have an onion so I sprinkled the ground beef with garlic powder. Very good and so easy, thanks for sharing.

Easy Spinach Lasagna with White Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2006
this lasagna was pretty good and couldn't be easier. i didn't have carrots so i left them out, and used jarred mushrooms (i would use fresh next time). also had exactly 8 lasagna noodles, but it actually needs 9, if you want 3 layers of 3. so the top layer was a little wimpy on the noodles, but still good. thanks for the post!

Apple-Raisin French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2006
this was so good and easy, not to mention super-cheap to make. i made it with cinammon raisin bread, which was a bit too sweet for me, but i can't fault the recipe because it called for regular bread. next time, i'll use regular french bread and perhaps throw some cream cheese chunks in it to cut the sweetness. thanks for sharing!

Rum or Bourbon Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2006
these are super delish! i am not a rum fan but somehow, i was craving these. they were super easy, the most time consuming was rolling them into balls. i left out the nuts, as i did not have them and they still turned out great. i'm making another batch because i may not have enough for my holiday dinner - i can't stay away from them!

Eggplant Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2006
i really like eggplant so i was searching for easy and different ways to prepare it. this sandwich is both! i used a baby eggplant and it made just enough for one big sandwich for me. had to test it out -the garlic, the broiling, everything was so good. i used roma tomato, just bc they aren't so juicy. made it for my mom for lunch and she loved it too!! just beware, the garlic in the mayo is raw and you will definitely notice it for a few hours (and so will all around you). regardless, soooooo delish, thanks for sharing!

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2006
this recipe is the best one for sweet potatoes i have ever made! every year i try a different one for Thanksgiving, but no more! this is 'the one'! i did, however, cut the white sugar to 3/4 cup and the brown sugar on top to 1 cup, we don't like it too sweet. i also loaded up on vanilla, cinammon and a little nutmeg. it came out wonderfully, light and just sweet enough! thanks so much for sharing!

S'mores

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2006
i was so excited to make this, i had been craving s'mores for months. didn't think my landlord would appreciate a fire in the backyard, so this was a recipe to try. it is good if you like really, and i mean SUPER sweet deserts. i didn't put any sugar in the graham crackers, because i was afraid it would be too sweet and it was still too much for me. i did however, buy milk choc chips by accident, so that might be why. good thing is, i drank a week's worth of milk with one serving! it is pretty sloppy too, best to eat with plate/fork. might make again, probably for sugar-greedy kids! thanks for sharing.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2005
i had never made cut-outs before and because i am a novice baker, i was nervous. but this recipe was so easy and tasted great! my only advice is: keep the dough well chilled. i sprinkled mine with colored sugar and they were beautiful AND delicious. what more can you ask for?
