About this Cook
I'm married (31 yrs) and the mother of 3 sons and 6 grandchildren. My husband and I currently share our home with my father-in-law, plus our son and his fiance. I love cooking a big meal and having a lot of family at the table to enjoy it with.
My favorite things to cook
Fall-off-the-bone Babyback Ribs, Stuffed Chicken Breasts, Clam Chowder, Spanish Rice, Chicken Tortilla Soup.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Annual "Family Women" Cookie Exchange.
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving Dinner of 2008 - the perfect turkey.
My cooking tragedies
This isn't cooking, but close. I mixed a drink that I thought was a gin & tonic; unfortunately I grabbed a bottle of vinegar instead of the tonic. My husband was there to see the 'priceless' look on my face when I took a drink. I'll never live it down.

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II
Thanks for a great recipe. I served this at a baby shower this weekend and it was delicious! Followed the recipe pretty closely, but didn't have Romano cheese so doubled the Parmesan. It was pretty thick, even when warm, so I might add extra mayo or some sour cream next time. Otherwise, this was very good. Thanks again!

Crab Dip
Thanks for a great recipe. Just served it at a baby shower and it was a hit. I read other reviews and added about 1/4 cup of sour cream and 1 tsp. of Old Bay seasoning. This was delicious warm in a bread bowl with toasted pita triangles, and also chilled, though very thick. Thought it would be great on a bagel, but there wasn't any left to try! Thanks again!

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints
This is a delicious, easy-to-make cookie that I've enjoyed making several times. I like it with Marionberry jam, but otherwise followed the recipe and directions exactly. Thank you, Dee!
