I am originally from New Jersey, and now live in Florida. I love to travel and cook. I am an 80's rocker at heart and don't think I will ever grow up! EVERYTHING!! I love to throw together new things every night..I am one of those people who likes to create a recipe using whatever I have on hand. I rarely follow a recipe, but love to read them and take inspiration. Slovak Easter and Christmas celebrations with my paternal grandparents...baking with my grandma. I have yet to come up with a stuffed cabbage that tastes just like hers, and I probably never will, but I will have fun trying. My first Thanksgiving dinner--I cooked for about 25 co-workers, all of us transplants to Florida, and none of us had any family here to celebrate with. Luckily everything turned out well, even though I got made fun of for garnishing the turkey with parsley! Finding a gravy packet--not giblets-- (who knew they put those in there????!!!) in the cavity of my Thanksgiving turkey--which wouldn't have been so embarrassing if my husband didn't point it out so loudly!! Not the same Thanksgiving as my triumph day, but funny how my best and worst cooking memories are from the same holiday!
