Old Fashioned Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
I followed other reviews and poured some of the pineapple juice into the batter. The end result turned out just right but the cake just wasn't what I like in a Pineapple Upside Down Cake. It was dense and I prefer a light fluffy cake.

Coconut Cranberry Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
a little too sweet for my taste but has potential! next time i would use milk chocolate chips instead of white chocoloate to make it a little less sweet - and maybe evaporated milk instead of condensed. Very pretty for the holidays though.

Brown Family's Favorite Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
Used golden hubbard squash and the pie turned out light and not too sweet. Not as dense as the typical "out of the can" pie which was nice. The topping gave it all the sweetness it needed!

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
These cookies are delicious and perfect for the season. I followed the suggestions of other users, making the "thumbprint" with my chapstick container and putting these in the refrigerator for 10m right before I put them in the oven. They turned out beautifully and taste great!

I used cheddar and oscar mayer bacon slices (pre-cooked). Was very quick and easy and delicious - even for the person who doesn't like quiche!

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2006
I used this recipe as a guideline because I didn't have all the ingredients handy. Instead of Colby cheese I used Cheddar and Parmesan. I also added some garlic salt and a packet of onion soup mix. It was the best meatloaf I've ever had - and I usually don't like meatloaf
