Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

I made a half recipe, which was enough for 3 adults. I used margarine and less milk than called for (3/4 c for half recipe). I also used a little more pepper, and added some oregano and nutmeg.

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

This recipe is wonderful!!! I used 2 bags of Act II Light Butter popcorn. After the caramel was done, I mixed it and the peanuts with the popcorn in a brown bag with a wooden spoon. Used two well-greased 9x13 pans and baked for 1 hour at 200 degrees! I can't stop eating this stuff!!

Great recipe for buckeyes! I did have extra chocolate leftover, probably b/c I made my buckeyes larger than I should have. This recipe only made about 30 buckeyes for me. Next time, I'll have to double it.

Baked Potato Soup I

Great soup! I cut the margarine and flour down to 1/2 cup each. I also used half chicken stock, half milk, and omitted the green onions. Delicious!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Not great...at all. Based on the other reviews, I tried using a pork shoulder. It was totally chewy and really hard to shred...even after all day in the crock pot. I could not tell a difference w/ the root beer either. Maybe next time I'll try the tenderloin, but it was SO expensive.

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

I tried baking this at 400 for 20 minutes, then broiling for 4 minutes. I used 1/4 cup Parmesan & 1/4 cup breadcrumbs. We did not like this. The cauliflower was still crunchy, and it just seemed to be missing something.

Cornbread that is a Meal

Good and easy! I cut out the jalapenos, but added a small can of diced green chilies and taco seasoning with the ground beef. I only used 1 3/4 boxes of corn muffin mix & 1 3/4 cup of milk. Baked for 40 minutes with foil covering, then 10 minutes without. Very good!

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

I used 3/4 c butter & 3/4 c shortening, but otherwise kept the recipe the same. I baked for 10 minutes, but I think it was a bit long for my oven, as they didn't come out quite as soft in the center as I would have liked. Delicious flavor though! Will definitely make again.

To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

This was excellent. I followed others' advice - added some cornstarch and a drop of lemon juice after mixing in the cheese. I added some grilled chicken breast to the dish, and it was great!

Peanut Butter Bars I

I cut down the butter to 3/4 cup. Next time, I'll cut down on the graham cracker crumbs a little bit, as I'd like to taste more PB. They were still delicious and so easy!!

Taste was pretty good. Other reviews were right - the sauce was only enough for about 3 servings, not 8. Next time, I'll reduce the Parmesan cheese a bit too.

Portobello Mushroom Stroganoff

Pretty good with the modifications I made. I only used 1/2 cup sour cream, & added a couple cloves of garlic, 1 tsp soy sauce & 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce.

Beef Enchiladas II

Great easy recipe! I added half a packet of taco seasoning and some garlic & chili powder to the meat as it was cooking. I also used the canned enchilada sauce instead of the powder. Delicious!!

Broccoli and Cheddar Soup

This was fantastic! My husband and I love Panera's broccoli and cheddar soup and thought this tasted very similar. I used fresh broccoli instead of frozen (boiled for about 7 minutes in the broth), mild cheddar cheese, added more garlic and used black pepper instead of white.
