Baked Kale Chips

What a great alternative to potato chips, super healthy and low fat. I have tried them two times now. 1st time seasoned them with sea salt and balsamic vinegar and a bit of pepper. 2nd time used cajun seasoning and salt. Both worked out great and I think you could use just about anything for seasoning. Also cooked at a bit lower heat and mixed them around a couple of times to get more areas crispy.

Jazzed Up Couscous

Had some extra couscous so I tried this recipe with a few twists. Cooked onions and garlic; then added chopped mushrooms 2 red chili peppers in oil, and orange tomatoes. Then I tossed it with couscous and minced parsley. Added a little Louisiana hot sauce at the end as it was not spicy enough for me.

Perfect Sushi Rice

Worked great for my 1st time making Sushi! Will use slightly less vinegar and sugar as it was a little too moist. Flavour was excellent.

It's Chili by George!!

Great recipe! I had a rough idea how to make chili but this really helped me out. I put a few twists in though. I used stewed tomatoes chili style instead of the juice and sauce, added a yellow pepper, and some brown mushrooms. Oh ya I used ground deer and also put some moose sausage in to. My roommates love it so far! The recipe has great spice also.

Appetizer Mussels

One of my favorite all time recipes, outstanding reviews every time. I add a can of olive oil and garlic flavored diced tomatoes to make for chunkier dipping. Also I cut all the butter out as the flavor is enough on its own. I serve it with toasted baguette (brush with garlic powder and butter before putting it in the oven if you want).
