Sour Cream Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2009
I was disappointed with the recipe as written. Pork Chops were dry and the sauce was nothing special. Will not be making this again.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2008
I was disappointed. The parmesan topping was overpowering the fish and just didn't compliment the fish at all. My boyfriend didn't even eat his. I will not be making this again.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2008
I seasoned for 24 hours and baked for 4 hours @ 250 and it was dry and disappointing for all the work/wait. I'm not sure I will make it again as there are tasty chickens in less time. I gave it 3 stars because it was still edible.

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2008
Easy to make, but lacking in flavor. There is a better Chicken Tortilla soup on this site.

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
Mmm good. Made some modifications as others had suggested. Flattened chicken, used mozzarella instead of monterey jack, added good seasonings parmesan /garlic dry salad & dip mix w/ italian breadcrumbs. I also browned the chicken (w/ breadcrumbs) for a few minutes just to give it a crust and the rest of the time simmering in the oven w/ the sauce. And added the mozzarella the final few minutes on broil to brown the cheese a bit.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
Good flavor! I cooked the chicken with all the ingredients. The chips turned out funky, and would probably not make again. Maybe use store bought next time. This is the second time I've made the soup. I added black beans and used lime juice as a garnish. Really tasty.

Baklava

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
Pretty good. I took the suggestions of others and made the sauce before I prepped. I thought the sauce was a little runny and had expected it to thicken up, which it never did. Seems to me there is a better recipe, but this one is still pretty good.

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2008
I marinated the chicken w/the taco seasoning, as someone have recommended. Used Mexican style cheese blend I had left over & homemade salsa. I liked that it was quick/easy and I was able to use ingredients I had on hand. But I wouldn't say it was the best chicken. I would make it again just for the convenience.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
Really rich. Not the kind of cookie you can really eat w/ out a lot of milk. I froze the PB Cups and reduced the heat to 365 for 7 minutes. I made twelve in my mini muffin pan and less than half were eatten. Will not be making this again and threw out my remain dough.

Authentic Enchiladas Verdes

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2007
I used @ l.5 lbs of tomatillos & 3 small serranos, added chicken stock just above veggies, the and it was really hot. I lightly fried the tortilla's and coated them w/ sauce. Meanwhile the chicken cooled down and evenmore so while stuffing them. I put them in the oven w/ cheese to heat everything back up. In the end I forgot to add more sauce on top. For all that work, I'm not sure it was worth it. My boyfriend said it looked authentic and it was good, but nothing fabulous like other postings. Now I have got left overs, and a lot of hot sauce. I'll have to see how I can reuse the sauce.

Carol's Arroz Con Pollo

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
I used the suggestions of others - no saffron, added 1/2 chili powder & diced green chili's. Also left the chicken whole and added them back in the pan while rice was cooking & added con queso cheese. It turned out pretty good. The rice was not as dry as I would have liked and lacked a mexican flavor I had hoped. The base was ok and could use more tweaking. Maybe I will have to try the real thing.

Basic Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
I made this for Thanksgiving at the request of my boyfriend. He said it did not taste "cheesecake" enough, but was good w/ the cherry topping. I am not a lover of cheesecake, but will try Chantel's NY Cheesecake next time.

Great Pumpkin Dessert

Ok, I was thinking it would be really spectacular w/ all the ratings. It was very custard like the first day, while still warm. Cake topping was not crunchy. Don't know if I will make it again.

Good chili & soupy. Kinda thought it would be thicker after it "cooked down" but it still was tasty.

Mmm, good. Boyfriend loves the sauce. Great over the rice. Spinach really cooks down, so follow the recipe or add more.
