Jennie's Heavenly Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2012
I don't know if I did something wrong or if this dish is just not my favorite. To me, it was sort of bland. The sauce reminded me of beef stroganoff sauce so I think that might have been a distraction from what it actually is supposed to taste like. The chicken was super tender. Everyone that I made if for (9 people) really liked it, so I think I will try it again.

SO good. My husband's eyes practically rolled back in his head. Highly recommend.

Chocolate Eclair Dessert

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2006
Really good! My husband's family raved about it. I think the chocolate icing might have been a little too rich for the rest of the dessert. It definitely needs the chocolate, and I don't know what an appropriate solution would be.

Grandma's Brisket

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2006
The brisket itself was good, but the jusices burned after I uncovered the meat. I think it might have been the ginger ale. I have never had this problem with other brisket recipes.

I made this for an Oktoberfest party and my pickiest coworker who lives on homemade food RAVED about them. So did all the other guests.

Cooking Light magazine's Mexican Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2005
The corn tortillas soak up all of the liquid and it comes out really cheesy and gooey. Still, it was missing something. I will try it again, and I think I might use 9 tortillas instead of 12 and I might add corn and add some beans. Served over rice if it was a bit more liquidy might be good too.
