This was my first time cooking okra. It was easy and tasty! Thanks for the recipe.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
My husband and I really enjoyed this recipe. It reminded me of my mom's except for she uses oatmeal instead of crackers. I much preferred the crackers. Next time, I might put the ketchup and brown sugar on top. It was incredibly moist though. Thanks for the great recipe.

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
I used bone-in and skin on chicken thighs because that is what I had. It turned out well. I didn't add the pineapple tidbits. I think 4 hours on high would have been way too much. I turned it to low after 3 hours. It was still a little dry so I think 2 hours on high and then another hour on low is a good idea. Also, I had no problem with the cornstarch thickening up the sauce. Good crockpot recipe for chicken thighs! Thanks.

My family and I love this recipe. I usually add dried cranberries or dried blueberries. I made a loaf yesterday and it is already gone.

I used half the Velveeta and only the sausage. I also added about 1/3 cup half and half and a can of cream of mushroom soup. Good recipe!

Slow Cooker Thanksgiving Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2007
I used a smaller turkey breast (3.5 pounds). I only added celery, onion, thyme, 1 bay leaf, salt and pepper. I cooked it on low for 3 hours and on high for 2 hours. It was wonderful!!

Chicken Pot Pie IV

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2007
Loved it!! I prebaked the bottom crust. I used a bag of steamed broccoli and cut up some baby carrots and steamed them in the microwave too. I baked the chicken in the oven with a little olive oil, paprika, onion powder, garlic salt and thyme sprinkled on it. Very good. I would especially recommend this recipe for times when you have leftover turkey or chicken on hand.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2007
I totally dumbed this recipe down. I cooked a 3 lb. roast with one Italian dressing packet and about 5 oz. of beef broth thrown on top of the roast in the slow cooker. I cooked it on high for 5 hours and low for 1 hour. It shredded easily. I served it on sub rolls with provolone cheese and pepper rings. My husband liked it very much! I thought it was good too! I will make this again.

Cavatini II

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2007
If I could give this more stars I would, my husband and I loved this!!! I added a pound of Italian sausage. I really liked how the cheesy mixture sticks to the noodles. Sooooo good! It took me about 1 hour and 30 minutes to assemble everything. I like to pick meals that allow me to cook once on the weekend and then take leftovers to lunch. I get tired of taking sandwiches. This will make a great leftover. Thank you for the great recipe.

The amount of noodles needs to be reduced. This was a better leftover than a first meal.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2007
I cooked this for 4 hours on high because I was gone during the afternoon. The chicken was dry and not very flavorful. We served it on buttered and fried hamburger buns with pickles and more bbq sauce, but it was still dry.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2007
I made these today for a back-to-school luncheon. It took me a little bit to figure it all out. First, I froze the peanut butter cups. I used Reese's and Wal-Mart brand peanut butter cups. (The Wal-mart brand was gooier and didn't look as pretty, but it tasted 5 times better to me.) I baked them for 7 minutes. I pushed in the frozen peanut butter cups. Then, I put the whole pan in the freezer for about 7 minutes. Then, I used a serrated knife to pop them out of the mini-muffin tin. They are very scrumptious!
