Mom's Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2012
This recipe was very yummy and I loved the texture. Reminds me of the pancakes you get in a restaurant. I did double the recipe as someone suggested since there are five in our family. The only thing I would do differently is to use less salt next time. I doubled the salt and they were a touch salty.

Chicken in a Pot

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
This was excellent. The chicken stayed very moist and the sauce and mushrooms were delicious served over it. I'm not a mushroom lover but I really enjoyed this dish! As I predicted, one out of three kids liked it (typical). She even had seconds. I served it with a quinoa pilaf.

Thumbprint Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2006
I think perhaps the temperature is wrong. Mine were not cooking at 300 so I bumped it up to 350 and they did much better. They are very yummy though!

Very delicious! I made it with salsa verde rather than the regular red salsa and beef broth instead of bouillion cubes. I also topped with some shredded cheese and sour cream. Next time I would be sure to buy a leaner ground beef since 85% made it a bit greasy. Also, it makes way more meatballs than there is broth so I would either add more liquid or less meat. Will definitely make again though. The kids really liked the meatballs!

Busia's Cutout Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2005
I love, love this recipe. I tried recipe after recipe until I finally found this one. It has been my cutout "go to" recipe for a couple of years now. Reminds me so much of the cookies my Grandma used to make. Not too sweet, soft chewy texture, moist and just delicious! Good with out without frosting! Be sure to cut them on the thick side and don't over cook.

Pinwheel Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2005
This recipe overall was pretty good and fairly easy. I added crushed peppermint candy to the non flavored half of the dough to make them chocolate peppermint. The flavors are subtle and the cookie is not too sweet.
