To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2009
Thanks Colleen for the great recipe! As others suggested, I halved the measurements for the streusel topping and used brown sugar in the topping instead of white. Also used frozen blueberries because these were all I had. I wasn't sure how the muffins would turn out since the batter was so thick when I put it into the muffin tin but the texture of the muffins was perfect. Didn't do anything special with the blueberries either and they didn't end up sinking on me. Probably because the batter is so thick. I followed the muffin recipe exactly and it turned out 9 medium-sized muffins. Will definitely make these again!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2009
I agree with others that these muffins came out too dry and crumbly. I should mention that I used raisins instead of chocolate chips and added 1 tsp vanilla as other suggested. Otherwise followed the recipe exactly. Don't think I'll make these again.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Will definitely make this again. Do not overbake! Take out of the oven when slightly golden at the edges.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
Great recipe! Will definitely make this again and again. Only made 2 minor changes to the recipe. Left out the raisins because I didn't have enough on hand. Also, added a pinch of cinnamon as some others suggested. Many thanks for the delicious recipe!

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2008
This was a delicious, moist cake. Even better than cake mix cakes. Did not change a single thing in the recipe. I will definitely make this again!

Gingerbread Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2007
Not bad. If I were to make it again, I would probably cut back on the flour a bit to make the dough easier to work with. It was a bit too crumbly according to the recipe. Also, the gingerbread taste was a bit subtle. I might try increasing the amounts of the different spices next time too.

Brownie Biscotti

These were great! I followed the advice of others and baked at 350 degrees the first time and then at 300 after slicing. I will definitely make this again.

Eggless Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2007
Not sweet enough to stand on its own. Tasted better with some frosting on top. I might add chocolate chips next time like others suggested.

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2007
An alternative to try for vegetarians: instead of chicken use cubes of Indian cheese called "paneer". Paneer cubes can be found in the frozen sections of Indian grocery stores and many regular grocery stores. Simmer the paneer cubes in the sauce and the dish created is another East Indian favourite called "Shaahi Paneer".

Banana Bread II

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
I've made this banana bread several times but just got around to reviewing it. It always turns out great. I use 3 overripe bananas. I also add 1/2 cup chocolate chips. One of my favourite recipes!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2007
These cookies came out really well. I got the best results when I took the cookies out of the oven appearing slightly underbaked. They were still soft for a few days in an airtight container.
