Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2013
Used one sauté pan as other reviewers suggested, otherwise followed the recipe as written with no additions or substitutions. Wow, this is a keeper! I don't see the need to add any additional ingredients, it is wonderful as is.

White Fruit Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2012
Very good. Yielded 3 loaf pans, that were done in 1 1/2 hours. A far cry from the old dark fruitcake that I used to help my mother mix up in a wash pan! (those were probably better suited for door stops). I will be adding this to my Christmas recipe file.

Restaurant Style Beef and Broccoli

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2012
Wonderful! Definitely be sure to sizzle the ginger and garlic as directed, such subtle flavor that adds to the dish. I will be adding this to the recipe box for sure.

The chicken was so moist and had a great flavor. We will be having this again as it is so simple.

Pasta Fagioli

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
One of our new favorites. I added fresh spinach, 1/2 cup pasta, (instead of the spinach pasta) mushrooms and 3 turkey italian sausage links (cooked and sliced into coins).

Walnut Poteca

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
This is an excellent recipe. I was worried because the dough was so stiff (I did not use all the flour called for) and so slow to rise. The wait was worth it. Very moist, flavorful bread. I added some chopped dates to the filling, otherwise followed the recipe exactly. Much easier to make than the mother in laws recipe from Yugoslavia, and best of all, my husband says it tastes better!

Jerky Lover's Jerky - Sweet, Hot and Spicy!

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
This is a wonderful recipe. LIke others I just added the spices to the liquid ingredients. Freezing the meat and using a meat slicer is really the way to go. All slices are nice and even. I used 15 pounds of London Broil and 6 times the marinade recipe. There seemed to be plenty of marinade. Thanks for sharing the reciped.

I made this with a pork loin roast and Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. This recipe could not have been simpler. Absolutely delicious.

World's Best Scones! From Scotland to the Savoy to the U.S.

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
I made these with the substitution of craisins and white chocolate chips. They are wonderful. Not dry at all, and incredibly easy to make. I've made these for a staff breakfast at school, and I'm sure they will be a hit!

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2009
I used a good quality wine and vinegar, yet it was totally lacking in any flavor at all. I followed the recipe exactly. Liquid was not a glaze at all.

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
Great recipe for Thanksgiving. Cooked the potatoes in chicken broth and left out the onion powder. I lined the crockpot with a cooking bag to make cleanup simpler. This sure took the pressure off at serving time. These potatoes were delicious and I will make them again.

WOW, these are so easy. Great in salads and just to snack on. I don't like walnuts, but I do like these!
