Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
So easy to do! (Of course bacon-wrapped anything can't be bad!) Presentation was fabulous. Added a tbsp of olive oil instead of cooking spray. 450 for 15 minutes was perfect.

Chayote Squash Side Dish

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2011
The flavor was too overpowering for the squash. Tasted like pickled squash or something. This didn't do it for me.

Made this with the Bombshell Brownie recipe from this site. It was perfect! I put the topping on with 15 minutes to go.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
superb! I don't boil the noodles first, I just cover them in water (in the lasagna pan) and nuke them for about 5 minutes to soften them up. Works great and keeps the lasagna firm. This also freezes perfectly! Great lunch leftovers or for night you don't feel like cooking - just put it in the micro and make a salad and you have a great meal!

Becky's Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2009
People - heavy whipping cream, NOT whipped cream or cool whip. LOL!! It's in a little carton next to the coffee creamers.

Buffalo Chicken Wings I

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2008
Watch the butter. Doubled the sauce and I still don't know how the wings are supposed to "simmer". Best thing to do is let sauce simmer on its own while you fry the wings, then shake on the sauce in a container or bag. Ours were greasy and soft. But the sauce definitely is good. Husband added horseradish and Sriracha hot pepper sauce (found in the asian section, the one with the rooster on it--SO spicy). We loved the sauce.

Blah. Had to drain baking dish b/c my chops were basically boiling. Not sure if this was supposed to be the "marinated" part of the dish.

Apple Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
I made this in an angel food pan and cooked it for 1 hour 5 minutes. I subbed half whole wheat flour, and half brown sugar, and I forgot the vanilla (oops!). I also added a few handfuls of raisins. It was almost like cookie dough and I had a hard time mixing and was worried I was over mixing, but it turned out SO good. It's bit on the sweet side, so I will cut down by a half cup next time. I will definitely be making this again!

Sugar Glazed Walnuts

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2009
DO NOT let them cool on parchment paper as one reviewer suggests...you can guess what happens, lol should've known...Other than that, these were great! I lessened the water and sugar by about a tbsp and added a tbsp honey. Excellent.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
I have finally found the CCC recipe I will always use! Used margarine instead of butter. Update: put roll of dough in fridge and made another batch three days later - still so good my husband asked if I put crack in them. LOL! Update 2: I've made these several times now. Mine turn out softer and stay softer if I use room temp margarine instead of melted.
