About this Cook
I have such a wonderful family. I have been married now 33 years to the most wonderful man. I have three beautiful children and all recieved their degrees from College. All are married with awesome spouses. God was sure watching our family. Everyone gets along great and all are best of friends. I have a 19 month old granddaughter that keeps Grandpa and I laughing all the time. We spoil her and send her home, :)
My favorite things to cook
Desserts, pasta, soups and anything different.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have recipes that have been handed down since the 1800's and have not left the family. You can only get the recipes if you marry in and then you CAN NOT give them out. Fabulous desserts, to die for.
My cooking triumphs
Taking a recipe and making it my own. I make changes all the time to make it better.
My cooking tragedies
Did not know how to cook when I got married at age 19. Bought some ribs but had no clue how to make them. I did not ask anyone because I was too ashamed so I threw them out because I did not want my poor husband to eat something that may not have been ediable.

Easy Salsa Meatloaf
Oh my goodness, my family loved this meat loaf. I used Mango/Peach Salsa and if I could give it 10 stars I would. I always have to make double. Note: It freezes very well uncooked. Try it you will love this meat loaf and I have made many, this is my favorite!!!!!!! Enjoy and thank you for the person who posted the recipe...

Pecan Snack
I love this recipe!!!!! I added cashews with the pecans. Everyone loved it. I will however be giving these out in cute containers for Christmas gifts without the cashews. My friends said they liked the pecans better than the cashews. I did add a little more sugar and cinnamon and less salt. Will make a lot more for Christmas. Thanks for sharing this recipe. Merry Christmas to all.

Classic Spanish Sangria
OH MY GOODNESS! I MADE IT WITH CAPTIAN MORGANS SPICE RUM AND A BOTTLE OF MURLO. I USE FRESH BLUEBERRIE, APPLES, LIME, LEMON, AND GRAPES. I HAD TO ADD A LITTLE EXTRA SUGAR THOUGH. I DID NOT LIKE WINE AT ALL, BUT MY DAUGHTER AND I JUST GOT HOME FROM ST.AUGISTINE, FLORIDA AND THEY HAVE THE BEST SANGRIA EVER AND OURS TURNED OUT EVEN BETTER. I CAN NOT WAIT TO MAKE THIS AND TAKE TO OUR THANKSGIVING PARTY, THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;0) ENJOY------ KAREN
