Tiramisu II

Excellent recipe to start with but I did have to make a several changes. I quadrupled the espresso and only doubled the liquor (it was for sunday family dinner), I used the Starbucks coffee liquor, ended up used almost double the whipped cream (but I did decorate the top with it), and dusted cocoa powder on each layer. I didn't split my lady fingers (used 1 1/2 pkgs) and I used a 9 inch springform pan. Made this 2 days in advance but definately could have made it 3 days in advance. Only gave this recipe 4 stars because I feel alot of the measurements are off. Next time I will try making my own ladyfingers.

Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream

I have been goofing around with my ice cream maker and this is my favorite recipe I have made so far! Served it with "Hot Fudge Sauce II" from this site, but I doubled the chocolate in that recipe. Cooking the custard took forever though! I had to stir it for 45 minutes! My boyfriend said it was worth it though!

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Very hearty soup. Used mild italian sausage and rolled them up meatball style. Also I added most of a rib of celery and used low sodium broth. Served with italian bread. Will make this again, but maybe with a bit more broth and water.

Hot Fudge Sauce II

Last night I made "Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream" (from this site)for my boyfriend for his sore throat. I forgot to grab hot fudge from the store so I decided to give this recipe a try. Even better than Smuckers!! And doesn't contain any high fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated oils!Halved the recipe, used Ghirardelli unsweetened squares and doubled the amount. Even threw in a few Ghirardelli 60% Cocoa chips I had laying around. Excellent. Give it a try you won't be disappointed!!

Gingerbread People

I made these with my little one last night, but I did make a few changes. I agree with another reviewer about the dough being too crumbly, so I added about 1/3 cup unsulfered molasses at the end. They were soft, spicy and delicious!Although next time I will reduce the ginger to 2 1/2 teaspoons, it was a little much for my taste. Also I iced these guys with royal icing using meringue powder, recipe can be found at wilton.com. With my revisions I would give this recipe 5 stars.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

I tried to make this recipe into cupcakes for Christmas but they all cracked and tasted horrible! Worst of all it was late at night and I had to quickly make something else to bring the following morning and I only got about an hour of sleep! I don't think I'll ever bother to try to make this into a whole cheesecake, I'll just try another recipe. update: Try Alton Brown's Sour Cream Cheesecake at food.com. perfection. you can watch the episode of him making it on youtube!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

I have been making this recipe for a few years. It my signature cookie and all my family and friends look forward to our get togethers because they know I'll make these! I use different kinds of chocolate chips to make it my own! BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES EVER! Thanks for the recipe!
