Waldorf Salad II

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
I don't like raisins so I used grapes (cut in half)instead also instead of the celery I used celery seed. The celery seed gave it a great flavor and a nice appearance. Nice holiday dish, will make again.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
My family loved these cookies. I was glad that I read the reviews prior to making these, if you want to be able to roll them into balls you need more flour than the recipe calls for, otherwise the dough is very soft and "sticky". The recipe calls for 2 1/4 cups of flour. I added another 3/4 cup as someone had suggested and they were much easier to work with. I will definitely make again...in double batches, they go quick!

Cream Puffs

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
Perfect! This was my first time making cream puffs and they came out perfect! I served them with a chocolate sauce drizzled over them. Several people in my family do not like pudding, so for them I filled the shell with vanilla ice cream just before serving. This recipe is a keeper!

Fruity Gelatin Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
Everyone loved this. I used strawberry jello instead of the lime. The lime jello just didn't seem appealing to me. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly. Will definitely make again.

Sweet Potato Oranges

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
I made these for Christmas dinner. They have a very impressive presentation and they really were not that much work. I put them together a day ahead and they were fine.

Beef Tenderloin With Roasted Shallots

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
I made this for Christmas dinner and it was incredible. I was very nervous about cooking such an expensive piece of meat. It turned out great the sauce was excellent. I had a 9lb tenderloin so I doubled the sauce, was more than enough. Will definetly make again.
