Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2013
Discovered I don't really like dumplings. The rest was fine, would make without the dumplings added, and serve rolls on the side.

Enchiladas Suizas

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2013
for the time it takes to make these it's not really worth it. it'd be easier and taste just as good to use canned green enchilada sauce.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2013
it was edible but I have no desire to make this again. apparently we don't like white beans very much. even after reading reviews and cutting back on the liquid it was still very runny. I thought it was bland since I left out they cayenne for the kids, but that seems like it shouldn't have changed the flavor that much.

Dutch Apple Pie with Oatmeal Streusel

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2013
I really like this topping but my husband prefers it without the oats, so to each their own! It always turns out great.

Beef Teriyaki

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2013
Hubby liked it more than me, I thought it could use a little more flavor. Also would try a different kind of meat or else cut it very, very thin becuase it was a bit chewier than we prefered.

Honey Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2012
I liked this more than my husband. He doesn't care for meat that has a sweet taste to it but I thought it was a nice change. I doubled the sauce, otherwise it wouldn't have been enough for me.

Fettuccine Alfredo V

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2012
It's a bit strong with all the garlic and cheese, I would probably cut both in half but that's just me.

Canned Apple Pie Filling

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2012
Minus the food coloring this is the same recipe my MIL gave me when I started canning. We make at least a batch of this every year. I usually add the sauce before the apples to the jars. It's just over 2 cups per jar and then fill with apples and process.

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2012
Definitely too salty if you follow the recipe the way it is. Husband said he only liked it because I followed other viewers suggestions about making gravy with it. I followed the recipe the way it was but half way through cooking I added 1 1/2 cup chicken broth and finished it that way. Took the chicken out, added another cup of water to help reduce the saltiness, and then added 2-3 TB cornstarch mixed with 2 TB cold water to the sauce to thicken it. Served gravy over unseasoned mashed potatoes, as the gravy was plenty seasoned to make up for the potatoes. Will definitely try again only next time using fresh garlic and onions to see if it's better.

Brown Sugar Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2012
This was perfect for when I didn't have a clue what to make for dinner. I always have these ingredients on hand so it will be a go to when I'm out of ideas. I didn't think it had very much flavor though, so I would probably read through reviews and add things to it next time.

Easy Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2008
I cut this recipe in half for my husband and I and we still have more than enough. I also leave out the mushrooms and sometimes the onion for my husband and it still tastes pretty good. Quick and easy.

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2008
I love this salad and it is a big hit with other people as well. I would suggest using a 1/2-1 cup extra pretzels for the crust so it is completely covered on the bottom. Also I used 2 boxes of jello instead of one and it makes it the layers more equal in amounts.

Pizza Dough II

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2006
Pretty bland overall, but easy and quick to make. I threw it in my bread machine on dough cycle which makes it super easy and quick. Despite trying to roll it very thin it still turned out thick and a bit chewy. I did precook the crust for 10 minutes which helped make the bottom crunchy. I will make again until I find something better.

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2006
8-10 minutes left my cookies really doughy and 11-12 minutes left them really hard the next day.
