Anything sweet. Also things not normally associated with midwest cooking such as Russian, French, or Asian cuisine. Camping out and making foil dinners over an open fire. A highlight of my childhood. The first time I cooked for both sides of my husbands family and my family for Thanksgiving dinner and everything turned out on time and was perfect. This does not normally happen with me as usually there is something that doesn't turn out just like I would like it. My husbands family was shocked that my husband married someone that can cook because my husband is a very good cook himself. The first time I cooked a pork roast one of my guests was standing by the oven and he pushed the oven lock on. We had to wait an extra hour and a half until the oven cooled down and the oven would be unlocked. This is the only time that this has ever happened. I still have the stove and have never had that happen.
