About this Cook
Live in Missouri. Married. No kids. Work full time. Cook when I have the time. Always looking for something that is good and quick and that is good the next day as a leftover for my husbands lunch.
My favorite things to cook
Anything sweet. Also things not normally associated with midwest cooking such as Russian, French, or Asian cuisine.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Camping out and making foil dinners over an open fire. A highlight of my childhood.
My cooking triumphs
The first time I cooked for both sides of my husbands family and my family for Thanksgiving dinner and everything turned out on time and was perfect. This does not normally happen with me as usually there is something that doesn't turn out just like I would like it. My husbands family was shocked that my husband married someone that can cook because my husband is a very good cook himself.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I cooked a pork roast one of my guests was standing by the oven and he pushed the oven lock on. We had to wait an extra hour and a half until the oven cooled down and the oven would be unlocked. This is the only time that this has ever happened. I still have the stove and have never had that happen.

Potato Casserole IV
Loved this. Didn't have the cornflakes so left them off. I baked it at 400 degrees.

Easy easy easy. The only thing my family adds to this is 1/2 t of salt otherwise exactly the same.
