Egg Salad Sandwiches

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
I made this egg salad for a co-workers bridal shower, and now I get requests to make it whenever we have a treat day at work. I have never changes a thing; the recipe is perfect the way it is. Just one hint, if you scale it to make enough for a crowd, make less than what you think, it makes a lot!

Super Spicy Pea Salad

Reviewed: May 11, 2009
I made this to take to my parents house for a BBQ. I love spicy food, and did not find it very spicy; just had a kick to it. However, my dad said it was the best pea salad he had ever had.

Lauren's Cincinnati Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
I made this chili for a chili cookoff at work; thinking if I made something "different" I might actually win or place well. Boy, the only thing I was is sorry. This chili is terrible; the spices over power anything else. I was very disappointed as it smelled so good when it was cooking. The longer the chili cooks the more powerful all the spices become. I will not make this again.

Berry Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2006
My sister said to give this four stars, I was only going to give it three. To me it was just o.k. I used strawberries in mine, I added more sugar, and more cinnimon per some of the other reviewers suggestions. I would probably make this again, but I think that it is lacking something, maybe a glaze or dusting of sugar on the top, I am not sure what just yet.

Amelia's Tuna Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2006
I do not usually give bad reviews, but after letting this sit in the refrigerator over night to let the flavors settle and mix together, this salad was DRY! I took it to my parents house for Father's Day, and I left it there for my very unpicky father to finish off, otherwise I was going to throw it out. If I made this again I would add more mayo the next day just before serving.

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2006
I did as others suggested and used fresh chopped apple, and used just a little of the apple sauce. I baked in four little loaf pans, and it turned out wonderful. I did use a whole packet of oatmeal in the batter, and another whole packet on top, but I think by speading the batter among the four small loaf pans I needed to use the whole 2nd packet of oatmeal.

Breakfast Casserole II

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2006
I used ground turkey, because I could not find turkey sausage. We had this for supper one night. I added two more eggs than the recipe called for, and a little more milk. I also used 98% fat free cream of mushroom soup, and the southern hasbrowns instead of the potato rounds. I thougt that it was a little dry, maybe next time I will add another can of soup and a little more milk. I also added seasoning salt onions, and pepper to the ground turkey as I was cooking it. You will need to cook this at a hight tempature than called for, or you will be waiting a very long time for it to be done.

Crab and Shrimp Delight

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2006
Another reviewer on this site once said that they hate it when someone rates a recipes with less than five stars when they have altered a recipe. So I am giving this five stars to make them happy. Per another reviewers suggestion I put everything in the crock pot on high for three hours. I omited the french fried onions, and added a can of sliced mushrooms, and sliced black olives. I used fat free cheese, and added fat free cream cheese, 8 ounces. I also added a little fat free sour cream to make a heathlier version, I also added 1 tbp on old bay. I still think it needs something more, but I will make again. I also served this over whole wheat spegetti noodles.

Bagel and Cheese Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
The first time I made this I took it to work for a potluck; everyone liked it. The second time I made it was for a bridal shower, and I assembled it at home, and then took it to my mom's house to bake. First of all I forgot that it needed to prepared the night before, and then I forgot the recipe at home; I couldn't remember what temp to cook it at, and ended up cooking at 350. I won't do that again! It took way to long to cook; everyone was waiting! I also made it without reading the reviews first. I think next time I will increase the eggs and milk used like others suggested; as my top layer of bagels did get a little hard. All in all an excellent recipe.

Talerine

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2005
I thought this recipe was overly salty. I did add the layer of sliced green olives on top. My boyfriend liked it though. I thought that I might try it again; only I would use less salt, add some basil or other seasonings, and maybe use black olives and mushrooms instead of the sliced green olives.

Cheeseburger Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
I have made this three times without reading the reviews, and thought that it was very good. The only problem that I found was mixing the spegetti with the other ingedients. Next time I will use elbow noddles as suggested by other reviewers. I also used fat free sour cream, and fat free shredded cheddar cheese for a low fat version. If you do not care for the taste of the onion soup mix try cutting back on it.

Beef Potato House Pie Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
I have made this several times; without reading the reviews, and I have mostly stuck to the orginal recipe. I did use fat free cheese slices (my boyfriend and I are trying to watch our weight). After the first time I did add some salt, pepper, and seasoning to the ground beef mixture. I agree that it is lacking something. Next time I think I will add fat free cream of mushroom soup or fat free sour cream. All in all this is a quick and easy recipe that can easily be made using instant mashed patatoes, I also may try the garlic mashed patatoes suggested by the other reviewers.

Cookie Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
My four year old daughter loves to help make these, and she loves to eat them. They don't last long around our house. Try dipping them in chocolate candy coating too.
