Apple Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2014
Doubled it for 9x13 pan. Used Coconut Oil instead of butter; whole wheat cake flour instead of white; vanilla greek yogurt for the yogurt. My apples were frozen chunks from the fall with skin on....used 4 cups for the double recipe and could have used more. I didn't thaw the apples and just cooked it at a lower temperature for longer....close to an hour. It was awesome and devoured quickly at an Easter brunch! Thanks!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
This is a really good icing recipe. I made 2 lbs of confectioner's sugar for about 7dozen cutouts...some pretty large trees and santas (So, this recipe only covered 1 dozen for me--2 lbs is roughly 7.5 cups). Instead of vanilla, I used almond 1/4 tsp and orange 1/8 tsp extracts. This jazzed up the regular sugar cookies. The icing took the colors well--both gel and liq.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
This is an easy, tasty recipe. I did lighten it up with Wishbone Lite Blew Cheese dressing and Fat free cream cheese--and left out the cheddar cheese entirely. Fantastic and not completely unhealthy! I've used roasted turkey leftovers, chicken breasts and rotisserie chicken (all chumked or shredded). This workd well in the crockpot for cooking and serving.

Butternut Squash, Apple, Onion Au Gratin

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2006
We enjoyed this recipe. Changes...added uncooked chicken breast chunks with other ingredients to slow cooker. I cut squash in varying sizes up to 1x1, so big pieces had some integrity after cooking all day on low. I didn't bother with the flour part, but did put the cinnamon in the crockpot. I added the cheese on top before serving. Good one-dish meal for fall.

This was very tasty! I added 1 tsp of dried thyme to the broth/chicken simmer and extra garlic. Served with garlic mashed potatoes. Great! Thanks for posting!
