Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2012
These cookies are great! They will please lovers of chewy, gooey, and crispy cookies alike. I halved the recipe because I only had one stick of butter in the house and it came out just fine. I cooked mine 11-12 minutes to get my preferred level of deep golden brown.

Honey Cornbread

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2011
Great sweet cornbread! I baked them in a muffin pan for a slightly shorter cooking time and they came out well. I didn't have cream so i used milk and a little extra butter. They sweet, rich, and not too crumbly. Great served with spicy gumbo!

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
Great bread! I made a double recipe and baked in standard sized bread pans. It made three large loaves and took about 70 minutes to cook.

French Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
Great bread! I cooked it in the oven with a lasagna so it got some beneficial steam while baking making the crust super crunchy. I added a 1/2 teaspoon of extra salt and proofed the yeast as other reviewers recommended. The bread came out great!!

Black Bottom Cupcakes I

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
I love these cupcakes! They were not a big hit with my young neighbors. More of an adult taste. They also freeze quite well.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
Love this chili! If you like your chili super meaty and thick, this is probably not the recipe for you. I think of this more as a chili soup with lots of great tomato flavor. It's brothy and just spicy enough. I usually add an additional can of beans and a little more cayenne. Good served with cheese or sour cream and some fritos, or over rice.

Honey Wheat Bread II

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
This bread was easy to make in my kitchenaid mixer. It seemed a little stiff but I just let it run with the dough hook for about 15-20 minutes and it turned out well. I prepared the recipe as written, but might add a little more honey next time as other reviewers suggested, but it's good as it is. The texture was GREAT! I had to let it rise an additional 20 minutes in the first rise and the second rise took about an hour. I sent a loaf over to the neighbors and they loved it too!
