Pleasant Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2011
You really have to like the flavor of paprika to like these pork chops. I should have known better since I don't care for paprika but everything else sounded so good I thought I'd try it anyway. The pork chops were so tender you didn't even need a knife I just wasn't crazy about the sauce. My husband, son and son's friend liked them though. I may try this recipe again only reduce the paprika.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
This is AWESOME!! I cut the recipe in half (because we only had a couple of guests) but will make the full recipe next time because it disappeared! Made exactly as the recipe states except I baked it in the oven instead of the slow cooker. Excellent recipe!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 11, 2010
This is an excellent but easy recipe. I made the recipe exactly as stated except I did coat the pork chops in flour and garlic pepper and brown in olive oil before adding sauce and baking. The coating ended up being a little soggy so I'm not sure this is necessary but it was delicious! Next time I will add onions. Served with mashed potatoes and green beans, the family loved it. This would probably be really good on a pork loin and also with chicken. Thanks for the great recipe!

Restaurant-Style Prime Rib Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2009
We thought this roast was delicious! We only did a 4 pound roast so the recipe had to be adjusted but we thought the spices were just right, the cook time was just right, and everyone in the house ate it up. Thanks for the recipe! This one's a keeper.

Oh-So-Good Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
This recipe was just okay for me. My husband thought it was okay and my 18 year old son liked it...but he'll eat anything. I made it exactly as the recipe stated except that I only put mushrooms in half (some don't like mushrooms) and I topped the casserole with crushed tortilla chips like some suggested. I thought the dish turned out sort of bland and dry. This is a good starter recipe and I may try it again but add onions, black olives and maybe reduce the amount of rice so that it would be a little more creamy. All in all it's a good starter recipe that just needs to be tweaked with ingredients that you like.

Hearty Ranch and Bacon Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
This is an AWESOME recipe!! My whole family loved it and then I took the leftovers to work to share and they loved it too! I can't imagine it's very healthy so next time I may try fat free sour cream and fat free half and half just to cut some calories. I made the recipe exactly as stated and it was GREAT!!! Thanks for the recipe!

Amish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
This is a GREAT pasta salad recipe. I made the recipe almost exactly as is stated with a couple small exceptions. First, I used 1/2 regular mayo and 1/2 lite mayo. And I used sweet pickle relish instead of dill. These are just family preferences but it was delicious! Also, I didn't have any celery seed on hand so I used celery salt. And I did cut the sugar as other reviewers suggested and used a little more than 1/4 cup sugar. I'll never make another pasta salad again! Thanks for the recipe!

BLT Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2008
This is a great recipe that I have been making for years only with one change. I use 1 cup mayo (not Miracle Whip), 1 cup sour cream, 1 3oz. package of REAL bacon bits and one can drained diced tomatoes with green chiles. This gives it a little kick and a lot more flavor. We always serve with fritos scoops. Awesome!

Cuban Midnight Sandwich

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2008
This was an okay recipe for me. It was a nice quick meal and that's always good but it wasn't my favorite combination. I'm not crazy about mustard so maybe if I made the sauce without it I would like it better. Also, not crazy about the dill pickles. My husband really liked the sauce and the sandwich but we made his without the pickles too. He liked the sauce so much that he had me make extra to have the next day on his ham and cheese. We will try these again only I may change a little to everyone's taste.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2008
Our whole family really enjoyed this recipe. I made it exactly as stated however I only had one jar of spaghetti sauce and it would have been much better with two. I will make it that way from now on. I may also experiment with low fat cheese and/or whole wheat pasta to make it a little healthier. Over all it was an excellent recipe. Thanks Colleen!

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2008
This recipe was delicious! I made the dish just like the recipe with two exceptions; I only had Italian bread crumbs at home so I used them and I added some onion flakes because our family loves onions. I think I would like the plain bread crumbs even more and next time I may try real diced onions. The whole family loved this recipe...and I will be making it again soon. Thanks!!

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2007
Wow! These were really good. Served with mashed potatoes, green beans and warm rolls...a real hit! Very easy to make. The only changes I made were, after I browned them on the stove I drained the fat and baked in the oven at 350 for about 30 minutes. Next time I will double the sauce. Thanks for a great recipe!

Stuffed Shells I

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
Awesome! This recipe will be a regular in our house. So much easier and tastier than regular lasagna! Used the tip another member mentioned about putting the cheese mixture in a zip lock baggie and cutting the corner off to fill shells...worked great! Only change I made from original recipe was to add browned ground chuck to filling mixture. Italian hubby loved it! Thanks for a great recipe!

Italian Style Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2006
These chops were great but listen to the other reviewers and cut the cracker mixture down to 1/4 of what it calls for. The breading didn't seem to be crunchy enough so at the last minute I put under the broiler and they turned out great. My husband loved these and asked that I make them often!

Delicious Easy Chicken Francese

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2006
This recipe was pretty good. I served it over angel hair pasta. The only trouble I had was the cornstarch. I used cold water and boiled but it never would thicken. My husband loved the chicken but said he could do without the pasta. My 15 year old son didn't care for it at all but I thought it was pretty good. I will probably make it again but will add more cornstarch next time. I thought dredging the chicken in the flour first and then the egg was weird but I loved how it turned out. Will do it like that from now on when frying chicken. Really had a great presentation!

French Onion Soup V

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2006
I thought this recipe was really good although it turned out pretty spicy. I don't know if it was the thyme or the beef broth I bought but my son almost couldn't eat it because it was so spicy. It was a really easy, quick meal that was delicious though and my husband loved it. Next time I'll check the beef broth flavor and maybe cut the thyme in half. All in all a great recipe. Makes the house smell good while cooking too!

Stuffed Pork Chops III

Wow! I've never made stuffed pork chops because it seemed so hard but these are so easy. My husband loved them, kids and I thought they were pretty good. Probably won't make them on a weekly basis but will be making them again soon. Thanks for a great recipe!

Hot Pizza Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
This recipe is awesome! I made it for Superbowl and everyone loved it. The only changes I made was I eliminated the green peppers because my family doesn't like them and I put a layer of cheddar/mozerella mixture on the very top. I baked at 350 for 20 minutes. Awesome...Thanks for a great recipe!
