About this Cook
I'm a kindergarten and grade 1 teacher. I love my job! I also love a variety of creative hobbies. Cooking is something a love to do and people love the food I make! :)
My favorite things to cook
Herb and Lemon Roasted Chicken with Jasmine Rice :) , Italian Sausage Pasta, Steak, Roast, Bacon Wrapped Chicken Breasts, a variety of casseroles, many different dishes. I love cooking and trying new things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well, I come from a Dutch family so every supper is usually meat, potatoes and veggies. I like this but it is nice to do something different sometimes (a pasta dish, or rice instead of potatoes...)I've adopted my mom's roast recipe as it is the absolute best!
My cooking triumphs
Hard to choose there were a bunch of things that my husband raved about so I wouldn't know which to choose but I guess maybe my favorite - the Herb and Lemon Roasted Chicken.
My cooking tragedies
About 6 years ago, I'd been trying a bunch of new recipes and they all turned out very well. I decided to try to put something together of my own. I made a pasta with Chicken, celery and cheese whiz! It was horrible! To this day I'm still teased about it ... my husband was warned about it at our wedding last year (he didn't believe the story though because he loves my cooking). After that horrible experience, I still tried new things and still created my own dishes but with much greater success. :)

Isaac's Juicy Chicken
So super easy and delicious! I ran out of my usual bread crumbs so I crushed some Ceasar croutons. The egg and ranch dressing mix was wonderful. Even my 23 month old ate it without a fight! My husband said, "Mmmm mmmm mmm! This one's a keeper!"

Taco Seasoning I
Wow! This is a keeper! SO delicious and easy; WAY better than prepackaged stuff. We are going to make this in bulk to keep on hand for use, not just with tacos, but as a rub for steak and ribs as well as BBQ chicken rub.
