Alphabet Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2012
This was so easy to make and it has a great flavor. I had a larget bag of mixed vegetables (for soup) so I just added the whole thing. I think it was about 28 ounces. I also used homemade tiny meatballs in place of the ground round. It made a huge amount, but I don't think we will have any trouble finishing it. It's delicious!

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2012
These were very easy to make and had a wonderful flavor! I made them very small and added them to an anlphabet vegetable soup. I have plans to make grinders with them next, as well as several batches just to keep in the freezer. They are so versatile!

Cajun Style Baked Sweet Potato

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2012
Cubed these potatoes, mixed the spices ahead of time then just mixed everything together in a bowl and poured it into a baking dish. We loved them - took about 30 minutes to cook

Alisha's Scalloped Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2012
These were very good. I either cut my potatoes too thin or cooked them a little too long. They all ended up pretty much like mashed potatoes. Still, this was a tasty meal on a cool, early Fall evening.

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2012
Delicious! Just the way we like our homemade bread - chewy and light. I followed the recipe exactly except to use fresh chopped rosemary in place of dried. Wonderful!

Garden Stuffed Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2012
We really loved this variation of twice baked potatoes. I used another reviewer's suggestion to add about a cup of colby jack cheese. I also added some frozen corn, cooked. It was delicious and I have frozen half to use another time.

Spinach Salad with Pistachio Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2012
This is a delicious salad. I didn't have a ripe avocado, so had to skip that, but it was still outstanding! My husband loved the pistachio encrusted chicken! This is a great warm weather dinner that we will be having again!

Sweet Potato Potato Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2012
This turned out very nicely. It wasn't terribly different than regular potato salad, but we all enjoyed it and it was nice to have something a little different.

Yummy Garlic Croutons

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2012
Cut this recipe down to make about 1/4 of a loaf of bread. I was using up some ciabatta bread. It turned out delicious - only trouble was my daughter wouldn't stop eating them right out of the oven!

Grilled Lemon Herb Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2012
Very good! Next time I will marinate longer. I marinated it for about 6 hours, but didn't turn all that frequently. I will change to 5 stars if it turns out even more flavorful after marinating longer next time. Still a very good recipe

Speedy Pear and Pecan Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2012
Fabulous salad! I like that it goes together so quickly! I used goat cheese and a raspberry vinaigrette. Will be making this often, using apples when pears aren't available.

Cinnamon Baked S'Mores

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2012
This is a nice recipe for s'mores when you don't want to or can't cook s'mores over the campfire. There is no cleanup either, so I am happy to make these most anytime! I miss the crispy coating on the marshmallows from the fire, but you can't have everything!

Carbonara Quesadillas

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2012
These were quick and easy and made a great summer dinner. I love using the panini press to make quesadillas so I don't heat up the kitchen. I just used enough alfredo sauce to coat the chicken mixture - didn't want it soupy and messy. It was perfect for us!

Whole Grain Waffles

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2012
I am so happy to have a healthy waffle recipe that tastes fabulous too! I made this for my two teenage daughters and it got rave reviews from both of them. I had blueberry applesauce, so used that. It gave them a nice blueberry scent, but it wasn't recognizable in the waffles

Easy Tangy Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2012
I really enjoyed this cucumber salad. It is a perfect recipe for summer - cool, refreshing, quick and easy. I substituted half sesame oil along with half vegetable oil. The dressing was just right - flavored but wasn't too much!

Garlicky Green Beans with Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2012
I used portabello mushrooms and fresh green beans from the garden and my family thought this was fabulous. I used some gourmet seasoning mix (Mt. Elbert All Purpose Seasoning from the Savory Spice Shop in Colorado). It was a perfect recipe for precious garden green beans!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

We made our own graham cracker crust for this and it was to die for! My 14 year old made it and we all loved it! We did halve the recipe to make only one pie.

Bacon Ranch Chicken Skewers

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2012
We thought these were fantastic! I just marinated the chicken in plain ranch dressing because we had some diners who were wary of spicy food. Next time I will add the chile paste, but it was delicious without it as well. Threading the bacon was a little time consuming, but the end result was worth it. This is a fun and delicous recipe that we all enjoyed!

Wonderful Raspberry Walnut Dinner Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2012
Love, Love, Love this salad! It is a great combination of ingredients and is not hard to make. I made my own raspberry vinaigrette and didn't worry about any nuts other than the sunflower seeds. It was perfect! Not good leftover, so eat it all the first day!

Chipotle Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2012
This is a great alternative to traditional chicken salad. It has just a bit of a kick, but enough to definitely know the Chipotle's are in there! I served these on croissants and they were wonderful!
