About this Cook
I love to cook and I didn't come by it naturally. My mother's idea of cooking was beanie weenies or fish sticks. I love trying new recipes and use my husband as the guinea pig.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are recipes that are easy to throw together, but still taste sophisticated. A couple of those are Beef Borguignon II and Angel chicken Pasta. I also love to bake and make appetizers, as we are entertaining a lot. Two of my favorite appetizers are Mississippi Six and The Best Spinach Dip ever.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I am a new Mom and we are just starting our own family cooking traditions.
My cooking triumphs
Learning how to make excellent breakfast gravy was tough for me. My husband is from the south and loves biscuits and gravy. I can proudly say, I have mastered gravy making and whip it up with ease, now.

Feta Cheese Turkey Burgers
Love, love, love this recipe! I am a new Mom and still have (7 months) later about 15 lbs. of baby weight to lose. I decided to try the Atkins diet and was looking for different things I could eat. These turkey burgers are fantastic without any bun or dressing. I even heated them up in the microwave the next day for about 50 secs. and they were just as tasty, if now better. Thanks!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf
This was the best meatloaf I have had in a long time. I didn't have any ginger, though, and I suspect that would add a new dimension of flavor. Also i sauted the onions before adding. Yum! You may want to add the milk last, as I didn't use a full 3/4 cup. Thanks for the great recipe!

Beef Bourguignon II
This was incredible! And it was pretty easy to make. I will cut back on the amount of canned onions next time though. My husband loved it, too, and it presents itself as a classy dish.
