followed exactly as written--it was fabulous! the fennel was not strong at all and the risotto was rich and creamy. Will definitely make this recipe again!

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2013
I made this exactly as written with the exception of cooking the squash in the microwave due to time constraints. I thought it was excellent!

English Muffins

I had great success with this recipe; i used a double burner cast iron griddle i own on the stovetop. they came out beautifully browned with the perfect craggy interior you'd expect from an english muffin.

Pub-Style Vegetarian Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2013
This came out amazing! Even my husband liked it and he's not keen on chili that doesn't involve meat. I will make this again and again.

Berry Crumb Bars

Reviewed: May 31, 2013
Made this while camping. I didn't think fresh raspberries would travel well so I used natural raspberry jam. It still came out awesome, the crust was very much like shortbread. I'll be making this again.

Whole Grain Breakfast Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
I made substitutions as well, peanut butter for the almond butter, honey for the agave, wheat germ instead of flax seed and dried cranberries instead of cherries and they still came out awesome. I'll be making more soon but i think i'll try raisins next time. The only ingredient I'd change is to cut the choc. chips in half, but that's my personal preference...five star recipe.

Boston Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
I've never made beans from scratch before; i even had trouble finding dry navy beans...but with that said I was pleasantly surprised how well they turned out. I didn't change a thing other than to half the recipe since it was only my husband and I eating them. I served them with ribs and coleslaw. Now I can't wait until summer to bring these to our next family BBQ and shock them!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2012
I followed the directions to the letter. I took the suggestion to mix the batter in the same pan used to melt the butter but instead of pouring into a different baking dish I used a large round cast iron pan and simply put it right into the oven. Came out fantastic!!

Baked Crumbled Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2012
I thought this was very good--a little messy to make, but easy enough. Definitely a healthier way to eat chicken and still get crispiness.
