Baked Tilapia in Garlic and Olive Oil

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2011
This was not one of our favorites. My kids ate it but under protest, and I have to admit I filled up on veggies that night.

Asian Lettuce Wraps

They were a bit on the salty side, and I LIKE SALTY. If I were to make them again I would change it a bit. Overall, they tasted good.

Cookie Dough Hummus

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
I was thinking, yeah right...cookie dough from beans? WOW! Even my PICKY 7 year old ate it and liked it. We changed it up a bit by adding mini chocolate chips and extra "real maple syrup". Thanks Serafina for a great find! :)

I made them for some neighbor friends of mine going through some hard times. They loved them, and I admit they were great!

Triple Berry Crisp

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2009
This was perfect. After reading a review that used frozen berries I was a little nevous. I made sure I thawed and DRAINED the berries well because I used a frozen berry mix. I made this for my hubby, I don't like raspberries or blackberries (seeds) but this was over the top(I had to taste it). Even my semi picky 5 year old liked it. Thanks for a great one!

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
I have never heard of cooking a turkey in a crockpot before. To my wonderful surprise it turned out beautifully and super moist. I will make this again when I don't want to be home to "supervise a turkey" in the oven.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
This is really an amazing dip. I have made it twice. This first time really just to "test" it out before a party. With the first batch I did not change a thing. It made a huge batch, too big for my family of three so I used the left over dip to make a chicken and spinach with artichoke lasagna ...yum! The second time I took it to a Christmas party and EVERYONE raved about it, even people that don't like green vegetables. Needless to say it was one of the first things to disappear. I took the advice and did use "Bertolli" alfredo sauce and garlic paste. Also the second batch I added a little garlic salt. It will be made over and over in my kitchen!

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2008
This is a great "fall" cookie. I did make a few modifications. Instead of canned pumpkin I used fresh and substitued olive oil for the veg oil. I also added nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and used less cinn. I used special dark chocolate chips and used pecans instead of walnuts. Before baking I used a glass dipped in sugar, a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg and GENTLY pressed the cookie (something my grandma used to do). They look beautiful and tasted even better! I turned the temp up on the oven as well.

Sara's Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
One of my hubby's favorite pies. I chose to bake a pumpkin instead of using canned. We taste tested the pumpkin with the sugar and spices before I added eggs and milk and agreed that it needed more spice. I added more cinnamon and nutmeg (Hubby loves nutmeg.) Having tasted the finished pie I think that I'll cut down on some of the sugar next time, because it tasted really sweet. I used foil to cover my crust and it turned out great. Thanks.

Roasted Cajun Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
This is one of my favorite potatoe recipes from this site. I have made them several times. Sometimes I cut down the spice, and they still have a lot of flavor! They go great with the Slow-Cooked Texas-Style Beef Brisket on this site!

Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: May 10, 2008
I used this frosting on a banana cake. It was amazing. I added more cream cheese and powdered sugar than the recipe called for becasue I wanted it to taste really cheesey. I also sifted the powdered sugar. I agree that putting it in the refrigerator helps to "stiffen" it up. It got 5+ stars from my son.

Supreme Strawberry Topping

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
This was the best! We used it to top off our waffles. I took the ingredient list and kind of did "my own thing" like I do quite a bit. It turned out great! My husband was looking forward to use the leftovers on ice cream the next evening, but earlier in the day my son used it as a cracker dip!
