I am a full-time registered nurse and part-time cook. Cooking is my way of decompressing from my stressful ICU job. I learned to cook by watching and helping my mom in the kitchen, watching food tv, and reading recipes since I was a teen. My Polish-Slovak-Lithuanian roots give me my love of food and love of cooking. My husband is my main taster and inspiration. He will eat anything and give my an honest review every time.

Gumbo: making the roux was definitely a labor of love. Risotto: I make a mean wild mushroom risotto my hubby craves. Breaded pork chops: my number one dish according to my husband.
